yor could try deer tan db shoulder. it is really soft.

total agree with Studio-n. trying to click that heavy of leather useing anything. leaa than 12 tons will not hold up.

first lightly sand the glossy side and the glue both sides, let dry and put both together and lightly tap to get a good bond -

first dye tour leather Black buff, then apply the leather balm/Adam wax/ black will give a high gloss finish. the Ginger will give u a golden wax finish. also can put over a brown dye to get a darker brown gloss finish photo is the Ginger finish

I have been this for years with no problems. I also use the leather balm/adam wax black and the ginger with great results

after40 years of doing custom work my advice is , if u put anything on it that u can not resell, then u need to get 100% before u make. also on anything also get a 50% deposit

if u are making a dress belt than a 8/9 oz will work just fine/ with 45 years experience I used 8/9houlders or can use 9/10 oz. -
Joe, the best place I have fount is the ; The Green Pepper.inc these are patterns to be made with cloth but u can easily convert. attached a photo of a backpack I made from of their patterns

here is a checkbook cover that I stamped with the Tandy 3d stamps and all was painted with sharpie pens. let dry overnight and sealed with a clear finish. no bleed and will not rub off.

Yes u can mix these two together. I have been doing it for several years. I will apply it to the leather before I apply any dye. It will give u a brighter color. after u dye buffet it real good.

here is a back pack that I made using a pattern that I got from : The Green Pepper.inc. the pattern is for cloth but I changed it to be made from leather. they show a step to step on how to make and sew it. very easy to follow instructions.
