  1. the reason your probley having trouble with your pictures is that their so big. If you resize them i bet you can load more than two at a time.
  2. If it's somebody i know i just ask to measure their phone and make a plug / mold out of wood or leather to make the case with. The ones i have now are really out of date as far as the sizes. You might go to walmart, Radio Shack, or a store like that and measure what they have. I doubt they would care.
  3. Crystal i haven't built a flat top for my machine yet either. But i think i am going to use a sink cut out from a new counter install. I have been looking at what other folks have done for a couple of years and think i will borrow ideals from them. The ones i have seen one had hinges so the top could fold down and had a pipe holding the other end up. Only problem i see with doing it that way is that the table might be in the way of your leg. The other one i seen on here and i think i am going to try part of it. Use the fittings on the end that sets on the table and use the pipe on outside end to hold the other end of the top. As far as cutting the slot for the top. I think i am going to try holding a piece of cardboard under the arm and mark it with a sharpie and see how close it comes to fitting before i cut out my sink top piece.
  4. Who ever built it did a great job except for one thing. The jaws should be straight all the up. With it just touching down from the top i think when you use your awl what ever your sewing is going to flop right over.
  5. Nice job !
  6. Thanks for the link Spinner !! The how to pages are nice to !! Post some pictures when ya get done with the pinup. That is going to be one looking tank bib.
  7. How do you put the amount in ? Do you have to wait till you get home to put the amount of what you sold on to their card ? Sorry if you all ready explained that. I'm kinda slow this morning..LOL.
  8. Hi Art i have the Juki Pro 2000.
  9. I have a Ferdco Pro 2000 that i have used for 15 years and never had a problem. I sew 3/4 inch thick stuff all the time. But it's higher then the imports. Can't tell you anything about the imports from China, never have seen or used one.One more thing if you want to sew Bio or Nylon don't get needle and awl machine. The hook on the needle will hang in the nylon and break the hook off.
  10. The link i posted says 100.00 for the machine and 20.00 a year. But yours says 50.00 a year. Either they nickle and dime ya to death on ever thing else. I may call and see what they tell me then. I agree a 100% on the 30.00 a month charge and they want or you have to buy the machine from them or they won't process the cards. Or that's what they have told me in the past.
  11. File the point off and you have it. Probley take 10 to 15 minutes to file it off.
  12. I have both and i like the round knife alot better. I wouldn't buy any knife over 4 inches wide personally and i have a couple that are over 4 inches.. Their just to big. IMO a 3 inch is more usefull and easier to use and control.
  13. https://epay.propay.com/
  14. Wild Rose i went and read about pro pay but i couldn't find if they charge a percent plus the 20.00 a year fee. Do they ? John
  15. I've got and tried some Weldwood this winter and it didn't stick real good. But after reading on the can it said that the temptuer needed to be above what i can't remember but my shop was colder than that. But i am going to give it another try sense it has warmed up. For all of my glue i put it in a small coke bottle. A plastic one and drill a hole in the cap, then use a piece of trimed sheep skin to put the glue on with. Then use the sheep skin piece to cover the hole.
  16. I think they said to back the nut off of the pressure foot on top and buff / polish your foot / feet.
  17. I have used a straight lined per shader a couple of times to make hair. It wasn't anywhere as detailed as Clay's but it looked pretty good. I just took short pulls trying to go the way hair would naturally grow because it all doesn't go in the same direction.
  18. It sounds like your useing rubber cement by the color of the tube. Get the red and yellow barge cement.
  19. I wouldn't think a bullet just going through a pair of britches would tear that big of a hole. If it did what isn't the seat tore all to pieces ? Plus i had agree with Art on the noise. They would of had trouble hearing anything for a few minutes. I have been in a car when a rife was was shot across the roof of the car and i couldn't hear till the next day. Something is FISHY here !!
  20. Springfield Leather and Water House Leather both ship fast. I don't remember if they sent tracking numbers though.
  21. I checked on the I phone route useing Squre and it is just going to cost to much for me right at a $100.00 a month. A person would have to have a lot of credit card sales to make it worth wild if they don't already have a I phone or Android phone. The 39.00 plan is a bait and switch IMO. Because you have to pay extra for internet and extra for text to be able to take credit cards. But i am a person that doesn't talk on the phone unless i have to. So i am hopeing they will get around to getting Square set up where it can be used on a prepaid phone, if they do i'll get one then.
  22. Well it looks like ya have three tourist in the family picture cause three of them have checkered / plad shorts or shirt.
  23. 3/16 thread would be rope. I use 277 top and 207 bottom. It's nice size thread and it's no going to break. 346 and 415 thread are to big for most things IMO. To me a big ole thread is like long stitches it just doesn't look good. But that's in the eye of the beholder i guess.
  24. Nice things you have made. Does the light box get hot with regular bulb in it ? I like your anvil to.
  25. Just a guess on my part because i don't know anything about your machine, would be loosen the nut on the curved spring looking piece in the last picture.
