  1. All i can say is your customer sure picked a purse that is going to test your will power to keep from throwing it in the trash with all the braiding and fancy little deign dodads. Personally i like a challenge but i tell him no on that design. But best of luck on your project.
  2. Take one of the pieces that you have been practicing with and dye it with brush and see how you like it and how it works out.
  3. I like it alot !! Making it into clock is a great ideal.
  4. This place says they have lime green . But they don't show a picture. http://www.nswleathe...cow_rugs.html#3 I did a search for lime green zebra hides so their may be more places selling them.
  5. I guess you could email them a copy of your tax number to show that you are a business.
  6. Folks have gave lots of good tips. Here's another one make your pattern out of poster board before you cut any leather and see how things fit. Make sure you allow for the leather thickness like was mentioned in another post.
  7. I tired the bank route to. But when they wanted to charge me 500.00 for the machine ( and that i could only use theirs a bunch of crap ) that i could buy for alot less i took them i wasn't intrested. Intuit is Homestead web site company one owns the other. Thanks for the information on the phone and plan MHolzer. Good thing is you can take it off your taxes.
  8. Now that's intresting ! When i first looked the first picture i though it was train and i guess it is in it's own way. I never have seen triple trailers being pulled here in the states. A few doubles but they generally are two smaller trailers. It sure would take a bunch of cattle to fill all of those trailers. Thanks for sharing that.
  9. I guess i'm still liveing in the stone age. How much does a I phone cost and how much is their service any ideal ? I do have a pre paid cell phone but never talk on it. The cell phone i have is for just incase i break down or something like that. Heck i don't even talk on my home phone unless i need to order something. Last year i was selling in Florida and it would of been nice to have something like Square because i had some folks ask about useing a credit card and i couldn't take one.
  10. Build yourself a web site and put the web address on cards that you hand out at shows. On your web site put pictures that are big enough for people to see detail. Get a Esty store http://www.etsy.com/ and sell on there. Make up some of your archery stuff and take them to a shoot. Sell things on ebay and put a link to your site on your me page. The internet part takes a while or has for me but people will tell other people and soon you have a business.
  11. I don't have a Cowboy machine but on mine if i have to stop and turn i try to have the needle stuck just enough to turn or down all the way and started back up turn and then start again. To me it seems if the needle is stopped on the down stroke the thread get twisted or pulled to the side when you turn and you will skip a stitch.
  12. Well it sure is weird that the trailer leaked at the same place on both sides of the saddle on both skirts. Are you sure somebody didn't paint or dye the lines on it ? Because it sure looks like somebody took a airbrush and did the lines. But i maybe a 100% wrong.
  13. Steel wool will burn by it's self. So if your going to light it have something i cover the pan with to put the fire out.
  14. Set a square on a table and hold the tool next to it and you should be able to tell if it's bent.
  15. When i looked at the pictures i was hopeing it's a girl. Because the buckle is going the wrong way for a boy :-). But he is one fine looking sharp dressed fellow ! I had a Cocker for almost 17 years that i got from the pound.
  16. I hang one leg off the side to ride up against the side and go around corners fine in one pass. You may need to widen the legs a little if you that though and keep your stitch line where you want it.
  17. You did a nice job on your holster and gun belt. Nice job on the picture to.
  18. I really like your roses with the bob wire around the stem. Their a nice size to and i like the light color on the inside so you can see whats inside.
  19. Try buffing them off with a paper towel or piece of cloth. I have to do that on every thing i make that's black.
  20. I would draw my own and save the money even if somebody makes a pattern.
  21. I've tried the weld wood and i guess it's all right in warm weather or a warm shop. But for me in cold weather and not so warm shop it took forever to dry to tacky. I'm going to try it again when it warms up.
  22. Nice !!! Really nice !!!
  23. I take a pointed drive punch and make a dimple on the peened part of the rivet. Then use a drill bit one size bigger than what's needed. Drill and get the washer off then take your drive punch and knock the rivet out. A piece of metal with a hole bigger then the rivet in it really helps if you put it under the rivet so it theirs something to hold the rigging and let the rivet fall into. I've been saveing the rivets i take out for almost 20 years and i'm gonna take em and sell them one of these days.
  24. I use regular craft paint when i do paint on leather and finish with reselone from Fiebings. If your going use nappa leather i don't what you would use as a finish sense it's not smooth kind of like a suede if were talking about the same thing. Just guessing i would say the varnish and hair spray is what caused the leather to be so stiff and caused the finish to crack. All that being said i never have tried anything like what you did either. Good luck on your project.
  25. I like it and you have good taste in beer to.
