  14. Well I don't have a business name for the leatherwork, I've never really looked at it as a business. I've sold a few things here and there but it's never really been my motivation. I'm not even sure what I'm trying to convey with it. I've been looking around online at examples of makers stamps but seems like most of the companies making them offer them in the basic style with the name, maker, and location. I could see where having the web address on it would be helpful. I wrote my sister tonight who's a graphic artist and asked her if she wanted to take a crack at coming up with a design for me. LOL
  15. I've got a small cnc milling machine in my shop and something I've wanted to do for ages is make my own makers stamp. I've been working with some new engraving software but I find the thing I'm having trouble with is coming up with a design. Anyone have any suggestions when it comes to makers stamp designs? Size, complexity, style, overall design, etc. ? As I said I've been experimenting with new software and I've had some good results, but I just can't for the life of me come up with a design that I like. Chris
  16. Interesting design. I just use a harbor freight arbor press myself.
  17. Thank you guys. I appreciate the info. It's something that I've wanted to try when I was making a batch of items but wasn't sure if it would work or not. Thanks again. Chris
  18. I'm just curious if the Eco-Flow dyes can be thinned so that they could be airbrushed on. I already have some on hand and I know it's pretty thick, but I just wondered if this was possible and if anyone has tried it. Thanks, Chris
  19. Well I'm not that serious about making stamps, I just thought it would be fun to make some for the fun of it. I don't think we have any companies around here that even have a laser, I'm not sure some folks around here could spell laser to be honest. Lol I think what I should do is just make some simple geometric type stamps to start with. Just keep it simple to start with. Chris
  20. Most of the delrin I have laying around is between 1/2" and 1" thick. I figured I'd reinforce them with some metal. I usually use my arbor press for doing all of my 3d stamps. One of the things that has been an issue in the past for me is that the smallest endmill I have is 1/32". But some designs that I have wanted to do are still to tiny in areas to do with the 1/32" endmill. I guess the obvious answer there is to just design things that can be done with what I have, or possibly hand cut in some fine details if needed. This isn't something that I'm looking to do for others, just something that I thought would be fun to do, and it would be nice to have some unique stamps. Chris
  21. I have a CNC mill in my shop and a good bit of delrin scraps. Anyone have any suggestions or advice about making stamps from delrin? Ive wanted to try making some for ages. Chris
