i thought i sent you some of the larger dia rivets so you would not need the washer? pretty sure they were 3/16" instead of 1/8" and mcmaster will sell box quantities most are 100, 250 and 500 pieces

looks great david! what is your hole spacing for the round braid? you ever order any of those larger head black rivets? i sure think they would look nicer

thanks guys! the lace is 3/16" Florentine Lace. i like the way it's beveled. i did think about cutting my own roo but really like the bevel of the florentine lace. the dye job is fade from black to dark brown to saddle tan

went back to my usual leather this time and no problem. lacing time was down from nine hours to about six. i have a the matching p-pad and backrest to do next.

looks pretty good... from one lefty to another -
thanks for the replies! i don't like to use this much paint as i think it really hids the beauty of the tooling but, i and the customer are very happy with it. the slab i work on was picked up from a monument company (grave stone). you can find them for next to nothing if they have a chip or crack in it

Thanks for all the replies!! the grey is cova paint and it has blockout over just the grey. the rest is just pecards thanks ken... this one is starting to come around. just seems to run in cycles. i have just finished RE-covering the round braid seat with the leather i normally use and it looks great!!! i'll have some pics of that one up later today.

i have a seat to do for a close friend of a well known builder... that's all i will say i can get my son to sit down and play with the tools now and then but, at 3 1/2 there is not much interest yet. i keep trying!
