just finishing this seat up. it may be one of my last as the work has slowed down to where a may need to put my tools down and find another way to make some extra money. not happy about it but, just donno right now : been real busy for the last four years

boiling makes it very moldable and when it dries it's hard as a rock! the leather was boiled for 90 seconds and then molded. it shrinks and rolls up as soon as you put it into the water so it's a challenge just to straighten it back out and work it while you can

it's a Apache version 1.3.37 (Unix) server. i am using frontpage and for some reason it overwrote the main site's home page instead of publishing it to the subdomain. i am downloading one of my backups and will see if i can't resore things from there. the other sites are still there but that "index of" page shows up for each domain i've never had a problem like this before!!

hadn't done anything like this before. it's very interesting to see how veg tan leather acks when boiled! i see from my side photo that i need to clean up the black outline around the eyes. the holes are nice and smooth and the paint does not look that rough. that's one of the reasons i like to take pics of projects as i go. i catch many mistakes in pics that i would not otherwise catch.

i have 5 sites on the same hosting and for some reason when i went to publish my new site, it replaced the primary home page with my new sites index page and all the rest now show that "index of" page. what do i need to do?

carpenter bags
Roger replied to Byoung's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
they look fine to me! should be nice rugged bags. i'm sure once you put some time on them you will know what sort of improvments you may want to make on them -
they are treally nice! i always enjoy checking out whatever you are working on Ken! the inside pocket is a nice touch and the nylon mesh is a nice idea for making the vest a bit cooler

thanks steve! i didn't get to read the article but, had heard about it. duane and i seem to admire each others work and trade compliments from time to time. i finally got to meet him and spend some time chatting bikes at the smokeout this year. yes, i like a clean seat without seams and i pride myself on a good tight cover and flat bottom. it does get to be quite a workout! yea black suckes and most times i can talk the customer out of it but... sometimes you just gotta do it.

thanks and yes! i sat and watched some football yesterday while stitching. i guess i need to start wearing gloves. i have had my fingers get a bit raw in the past but, i ended up opening up a couple blisters on the insides of my fingers yesterday
