  1. I am trying to find a roller foot sewing machine that would be capable to sew through 5-6oz with a #92 thread (top and bottom) , #138 would be great . It's gonna be used just for the inside of the wallets , pockets and such. Any suggestions ? Thank you !
  2. Aamber...you probably meant Eastern Europe..lol...Welcome to the forum !!! Great work !
  3. That's nice, clean work !!! How big is the wallet when open? As far as leather goes, how thick (heavy) is it?
  4. That particular one I think I got it from an Etsy store....just do a search on Ebay too
  5. Kevin, what's the needle size/type and thread size you are using for that intricate stitching? Great work as always btw !!!!!
  6. It's not a flat finish...just a bad picture...lol...If you look at the other pictures you'll see it has a shiny finish. Thank you !
  7. Here is another 7in long wallet. I just use mink oil on this one and left it out in the sun for few good hours and it darken more then I was expecting. The outside stitching is done with the Cowboy CB4500 using #135 bonded nylon .
  8. They were done here in a local shop "Economy Dies"
  9. This is a 7in long biker wallet I just finished today. A bit different than my other wallets but pretty much same idea. There are 11 card pockets, 2 large bill pockets and a change zippered pocket. The wallets is made out on natural veg-tan, 4-5oz and air brushed...I still need some more practice but I am happy with the outcome. Pockets are stitched with #138 and the outside with #207 . Any suggestions and comments are more then welcome . Thanks !
  10. That's the way I buy that leather. I used lining fabric for the card holders...I was gonna use pig skin but the wallet would get way too bulky I do sell kits ( panels already cut)for some of the wallets I make...just look me up on Etsy..I have few of them up there for sale. Thanks !
  11. Thanks! I rent a 25 ton press by the hour and i do have few sewing machines. I think i mentioned in my previous posts the machines i am using for sewing and also the thread used.
  12. It happens when i don't take my OCD meds...lol... Here is same design in black
  13. Each slit has it's own pocket ("bag") to stop the card from sliding all the way down...hence the stitching...and are made out of linning fabric . The only slit that doesn;t have that is the bottom one.I also used pig skin as liner to cover the card pockets on the back so the large pocket can be properly used Somebody posted here a drawing of how the pockets are put together.
  14. 6in short biker style wallet with a tab for closure
  15. Just finished this one today for an Akita male...gonna have to make another for a female. The collar is made out of a 2in strap of 10oz, folded in 2 and stitched with #277 thread
  16. I just had some cutting dies made few months ago for the main pannels...some 6in /8in ,8in/8in rectangulars with round corners. The inside slits for the pockets , zipper and so on are done by hand. .For the add-on pieces i use regular round punches, end-strap punches and few "home-made" ones to achive whatever design . Sometimes it's just "free-hand"cutting...lol... For the tab you see on the long wallet, i used a 1.75in english point punch for the tips Thanks !
  17. First wallet is a simple bi-folder, 5in / 4in when closed and the second one is a "biker" style 7in long , 4in wide when close. Both wallets are made out of 5oz Any comments, including critiques are more then welcome Thank you !
  18. That's the way to go.I think you are giving him too much attention. I can't believe somebody has a patent on a "Band with spaced bullet cartridge elements"...
  19. I end up ordering just one punch for rounding corners....it was only a bit over $1 shipping included...same make as the ones pictured above . I am still waiting for it..lol...i don't care to much about sharpness as i can take care of that myself. If it turns out to be ok i will probably end up buying the whole set. I can't find anybody that will sell a similar punch. This is the one i bought
  20. Here is another one that closes with a tab...everything else as far as design goes is similar to the one pictured above
  21. The engraving is around 1/2mm deep...i can actually fill that in with gold or silver acrylic. On this particular wallet i had to use black edgekote to make it realy dark. One of my friends has the laser machine and for now we are just experimenting with it at different settings just to see the results...
  22. You should be able to find them on Ebay...very pricey in my oppinion !!!
  23. I would round the top corners too...simple and clean works for me too. Nice work.
  24. The wallet is made out of 5oz and measures 6in/4in when closed. Air brushed using Tandy's spray cans, stitched on the outside with the Cowboy CB 4500 with #207 thread...the inside is stitched with #138. I am still waiting for the chain connector( that's the whole in the wallet for..lol...) The skull is laser engraved. This is one of the wallets i tried to take my time and don't cut any corners...kinda pull all the stops ...lol... Critiques are more then welcome...i know i made few mistakes but i want to see how visible are to others too.. Thank you
