  1. Here is finished product I just put the t nut on the back of the sheath. This is a cold steel voyager its 9 1/4 inches when open.
  2. What's the best way to attach IWB straps? Should I glue a T nut in between the layers or is there a better way of attaching them?
  3. Most leather glues are like contact cements they need to be put on both sides and can be a mess. As far as sewing you could do it by hand but it will take a LONG time. My suggestion is to tape the bolts.were you don't want glue and use Formica spray glue put it on both pieces let it get tacky peel off tape and put the belt were.you would like it.
  4. Did this to sell first 1911 and avenger holster. Sold it today and all the guy did was complain that it wasn't lined. I finally had to say to the buyer " You don't have to buy it." When I started to walk away he stopped me and bought it. Thanks to Haystacker for the pattern
  5. YouTube Richard Black he just did a great tutorial on cartridge belts YouTube Richard Black he just did a great tutorial on cartridge belts
  6. Looking for these clips with the lip to catch the belt. Can anyone help me? Thanks
  7. It looks really good. The only thing I would recommend is to cover the trigger. The reason I say this is one it will help retain the gun better and two there is a chance when the weapon is being drawn you could accidently pull the trigger or it could catch on something causing an AD. Other than that it looks really good.
  8. Anyone tackle one of these? Have a guy who wants an open top with some basket weave. Never done a handcuff case not sure if it would be worth the time to try and make one. If you have a pattern and are willing to share I would apperticate it.
  9. I have only used eco floonce and then threw it away. I use only fiebings dye. Some have trouble with the USMC black wanting to rub off onto clothing but I have found that if you dye then buff the hell out of it and then seal you won't have any problems.
  10. If you have a warrenty how long do you warrenty it? Six months?A year? Thanks!
  11. They also changed the rail to only accept glock products. Don't know if that will affect a holster in the long run though
  12. Bought some of that alligator embossed leather have some neat projects in mind the only concern I have if I stitch it will flatten out or should I do more of an inlay with it? Hope my question makes sense.
  13. Do these work? http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/en-usd/search/searchresults/3204-00.aspx I bought one and have tried it on 6-7oz leather and have not had good results with it. Is there a better product out there?
  14. I am assuming its pre dyed leather? In that case you will not be able to tool/stamp it.
  15. How did you attach it to the seat pan?
  16. Thanks everyone for the advice. Dwight that's what I was afraid if as well. I took inspiration from race gun holsters
  17. Aghh.. so the customer decided he wanted to have a black rig. The problem is that I have already finished the edges ( wax). If I dye it black as is what will happen to the edges?
  18. After messing with it yesterday I could get it out pretty darn quick. That was one of my concerns as well but this is what the guy wanted.
