Hi Damas, Very nice machine you have there....same type as the one i have here from 1950,51. I think first of all by looking at your video if you got this with a 132k machine then it is possible you have fitted one of its feet? If it is #97780, 97661 or 97784 then it is a 132k foot if it is #91038 then it is for the 45k. I say this because you do not see this foot normally fitted on the 45k machines and especially the cylinder arm ones, this was not part of the options for the 45K21. There was i think 1 hinged foot for it but it came with a knife trimmer and a flat type needle plate. This type of hinged foot is more for the flatbed series and is an option for the 45k1,5,11 etc. Did your machine come with any more feet?

My opinion on buying these type of tools is to go for a new or second hand well made part, because if it is well made it usually lasts for many years if cared for and in the long run you end up buying 2 or more until you come to the conclusion they added up to the amount of a good one! I am with Hardrada and agree if you do skiving etc for wallets and the like then a good precise gauge is probably best. I went for a second hand one and would recommend it, but make sure it works!! This one has the back end of the dial broken off and a small ding to the case, apart from that it is a Gr8 working dial and has the small base adjustable.

singer 45k clearence between 98607 and needle
jimi replied to Deeio's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Sorry Deeio, i did not see your post....yes it should have some play to let the thread pass, from the shuttle hook to the driver. I think this was the reason they had 2 types of shuttle....one for thinner thread and one for thicker. Not 100% sure as it does not state this anywhere but if you look at the corner tips of the shuttles i think i can see a slight difference which would allow for thicker thread to pass. The shuttle in your picture was used with the 45k52 machine and the#91173 driver. -
Hi Danne, Have you looked at one with a clutch instead of 2 motors??

Hahaha! whisperer.... This is the one i think your machine was? On the treadle you are missing the big heavy mass wheel weight. -

jimi replied to Deeio's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Hi Deeio, If your Shuttle driver is# 98607 then this is the driver used in the 45k1,5,11 and 92 and the shuttles used in this parts manual are #98622,95096,95084 the last 2 i think being obsolete and says only #98622 will work with the #98607 driver. You machine looks like it has missing parts? the head looks like a old class 80 maybe? can you take some pictures from the front of the head and back. If it is a 80 then the balance wheel had 3 speeds, It is converted to a normal K1 type i think?? also you are missing the mass on the treadle?? unless it is on the other end? -

Hi, This is a Junker & ruh blake stitcher, it will sew a chain stitch on the inside of the shoe, that is why it has the thin horn. You do not see many of this type on sale, you usually see the outsole stitchers on sale. the D 28 i Think they are called??

It is lightly pushed against the feed wheel with a spring, sometimes the scrap can get caught on it. Watch your hands!! wow, can´t remember???

I think that since there is no decals left then it has been repainted so the holes are probably covered over with paint. -
Maybe a good idea to look just in case??

Unfortunately things have gone crazy expensive from the UK but you don´t see this everyday! Looks like the 45k arm version of the 34k https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165004052548?hash=item266b020844:g:~lMAAOSwKEthDRHP
