  4. Looks like you did your research. Me, I was trial and error. Looks good but that stitch line is a little distracting. It's still way better than my first attempt, or second, or third.

  9. Just finished this one. It's a pancake holster for a Smith and Wesson 5906. Tri-weave stamped, dyed saddle tan with white stitching and dark brown edges.
  10. Very nice. Avenger holster with a stitched in sight channel, hmm.
  11. I saw that and thought, "that's a cool looking beetle on that hunk of leather. Oh wait! It's carved in, cool!"
  12. That's the way I did these guys. All the leather was tooled and dyed, then stitched together with the welt. I did all my edge work and after that It was wet and molded around the handle.

  14. I like seeing how my stuff looks after a coupla years of use. He said that he's gonna clean the mud off and I suggested treating it with some Neatsfoot.
  15. My two main methods depends on the type of dye. Mostly I use Fiebing's Professional oil dye and apply it with a dauber. I can generally tell when enough dye has saturated into the leather. With spirit based dye, I'll apply it with a damp sponge.
  16. For something like that, I'd think a Threeperson's style holster'd be appropriate.
  17. That is freaking awesome! Please keep us updated on the finished product.
