  1. Very nice. That seems to be a trend with me. More people are wanting plain holsters, belts and knife sheaths.
  2. This is a test piece I dyed with Eco-Flo chestnut hi-lite color stain. Basically, ya just wipe it on, making sure to get it into all the details, then wipe off the excess. Then a coat of Tan-Kote to protect it and add a little shine.
  3. Thanks Rohn, it's designed to be a hard working holster. The person I made it for specified the double snaps.
  4. This was dyed with Fiebings saddle tan professional oil dye. Allowed to dry a coupla days. I applied a thing coat of Neatsfoot. Let that sit for another coupla days. Then it was buffed, given a thin coat of Tan Kote, then the final finish was buffed out.
  5. Second one I made for the same person. He liked the first one so much he wanted another one. Double snaps for added security. It's used for tracking black bear in the wilds of Maine. I used beige thread. I thought it went well with the brown leather. My gratuitous edge shot's a little blurry. But y'all have seen my edges before.
  6. Fiebings antique finish, I might just have to try that.
  7. I keep my stuff clean and sharp. They're stropped on a regular basis. I've got a video on how I care for my sharp pointy stuff.
  8. My take on hand stitching. I've got some leatherworking videos on my YouTube Channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOM3hbruUKHov9kquIxXKlA/videos If you'd like to check it out.
  9. I also use mason jars and ya gone and done it. Now I'll have to make something like that myself.
  10. Thanks all. Problem is it's going out first thing on Monday. Now I'm just gonna havta make something like it for myself.
  11. Very nice, I'd probably just make a simple pouch with a coupla loops. That's really nice, creative and well executed.
  12. Check out my new series on making a matching belt, holster and belt slide set.

  13. Just finished buffing out the finish on a belt, holster and belt slide set for a 4" S&W 686+. Check out the video build series.
  14. Just finished this one. It's dyed with a mix of Fiebings Professional oil dye. I used Saddle Tan and Chocolate mixed to get just the right shade of brown.
  15. That reminds me. My wife asked me one day,"How many power tools do you need?" My reply was,"All of them."
