  1. Very nice, I like that wide edge. Now ya need to make a matching belt to go with it and find yourself a barbecue....
  2. I made a sheath for a similar knife. It's not horizontal but it does give good retention even without securing the strap. It's also a friction fit.
  3. I use it straight out of the bottle. It was dyed using the same method as in this knife sheath,
  4. Forgot to get pictures before sending this one out. Got some grabs from the video. It's dyed with Fiebings mahogany and stitched with beige thread. Video build series; https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQtTNBOy6Ky-Ht-1Sbr39U_v1Kw9uzLn3
  5. What he said. It's designed for a Springfield 1911, cocked and locked. Besides, it's the design the fellow requested.
  6. Check out my YouTube video series on a matching belt and holster for a 4" Springfield 1911.     https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQtTNBOy6Ky8Sb_0Awl8-8_hSKll2DAxe

  7. Finish is freshly hand buffed. Video build series; https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQtTNBOy6Ky8Sb_0Awl8-8_hSKll2DAxe
  8. Very nice but where's the beer 'fridge? Anyway, my work shop's in the corner of my living room. Gotta give my wife credit, she helped me set it up. I do have some machines set up in our garage for sanding edges.
  9. Thanks, I'm kinda likin' the tri-weave. That's my belt, Just using it as a model.
  10. Just finished buffing the top coat. Fits a 1 1/2" belt. How much do y'all think I should ask for it?
  11. I don't do a lot of wet forming but when I do I use the board and clamp method. Works for me.
  12. My method for stitching thick leather.
  13. I prefer using chisels. Sometimes I set the stitches in a groove. Sometimes not. Depends on the look I want.
  14. I made these two matching holsters for a fellow. One's for a Springfield 1911 and the other's for a 6" S&W 686. He decided to carry cocked and locked and says the strap fits just fine. However, I did have a similar dilemma with a multi-fit knife sheath. My solution was two studs and two holes in the retention strap. Just enough of a difference to fit a coupla different knives..
