  6. i saw the coolest knife sheath today and am wondering if anyone has a pattern of said sheath. it was a quick draw knife sheath for a buck knife. i would be willing to pay for the pattern if anyone has access to one. the sheath works by pulling out the body and the blade is automatically opened when drawn.

  10. Hey Ya'll I am getting ready to head down to the wilds of New Mexico rattler country. I want to make me a pair of nicely tooled snake guards. Does anyone have a basic design pattern for snake guards they would be willing to give me? I will handle the tooling design, I just don't have a clue how to design a snake guard.   15. Hey all, I have a client who wants me to tool forget-me-nots on a portfolio I am doing for her. I have searched and searched and cannot find a good pattern to use. Any suggestions.
  16. So I just finished my field book cover. Some improvements I notice are, I need to work on my glue placement as it works great as a resist. I need to improve my tooling, I am a beginner and still learning. But over all and at the end of the day I am very pleased with my project and am improving with each project.

  19. anyone have any idea why my groover keeps blocking up. i am using it one veg tanned leather and the way i was shown. but everytime i ue it after three or four passes it clogs up and i have a heck of a time getting the barrel cleared so i can use it again. its really getting old.

      Try running it across a block of wax now and then. You may have a burr in the hole. Polish the radius real good and maybe work some buffing compound into the hole with a toothpick if it will fit, or run dental floss thru soft scrub cleanser and run it back and forth through the hole. The soft scrub will act as a fine polish. Hope that helps.

  20. very nice job..i am getting ready to do the same thing with a panhead solo seat..not sure of the tooling design but i am very inspired by your project. yer wife unit is gonna love the seat.
  21. Copied Dennis Oakley's style and went to my local stone mason today. Got me a 12" x 6" piece of marble for free. Thanks Dennis for posting you did it.

      I went to the people that make grave stones:) Thicker pieces of stone=not so much ping= But I like MANY MANY MANY others here have also gone to teh Countertop makers ...I just happened to come home with a 4'x4' piece:) I love people that can't read tape measures! hahahaha
