  1. Quality, immense amount of work gone into making that wallet , i think there must some mystic method that Hermes use to get the stitch lines on multiple layers to line up neatly, i know i can't seem to do it , keep up the good work .
  2. Cheers Petewon how interesting as i have just bought from them can i ask which leather you bought ? i purchased the Chevre Liegee Main and quickly realised you need a good command of your stitching .
  3. Beautiful work congrats , can i ask where you bought the leather used for this wallet please ? i have recently bought on the internet and found it hit and miss.
  4. I've wondered about this as well i would agree with electrathon, but hope you get a few more opinions from the experts .
  5. I am left handed so i hope you get some good advise from the great members on here , as i am planning on buying one of those you posted but at that price i might get one of each they seem very cheap and if they do the job OK happy days .
  6. Thanks grmnsplx thought so , i've sent of for a sample to see how it stitches .
  7. Hello , is it important to use waxed thread for small items like wallets or watch straps or would it be OK to use un-waxed , why i'm asking is there's a company in UK (LePrevo) that sell un-waxed 18/3 linen thread with a good choice of colours at decent price , i know i can wax it myself just wonderd if it's critical for small pocket type stuff ? Should say it's in my case it's for hand stitching. Cheers Dave Link http://www.leprevo.co.uk/photos/18_3_50.html

  9. This video is of a similar pattern , hand held camera so a bit jerky but you can follow his method , worth a look.
  10. Thanks DavidL, I'm better with pictures and videos but you seem to have a grasp of the steps better than me. Would love to eventually progress to making a bag.
  11. Hi found this pattern on the web it's beyond my expertise can't even understand the assembly method, feels like it's in the wrong order , https://bagntell.wordpress.com/2010/02/27/saddle-stitched-handbag/
  12. It looks to me like there're only making leather tools on request .
  13. I too got some samples and yes it looks quality stuff , if i remember correctly Hunio used the Weinheimer on one of his/her pieces so it must be good stuff , i'm luckily in UK so i get some i'll post my thoughts here .
  14. That's brilliant i suspect you might be inundated with requests for these , what is the next step to purchase the items should i PM you ?
  15. Thanks for explaining REN , i have another request there is a Korean web site that sell a metal corner template with different sized corners i'm not sure if i can post a link so i hope i've explained myself it's like a flat piece of steel with rounded corners of different sizes that you can cut round or mark the leather , have you seen these on your searches ? i should say i have contacted the Korean website on three separate occasions but haven't received a reply . Cheers Dave
  16. I'm interested in the pricking irons and the edge beveler. Regards Dave
  17. Thanks grmnsplx so it's actually 9 teeth per inch i would have to order as REN has explained to give the Blanchard style stitch. REN if you could explain how i would go about getting a price for a 2 teeth iron and a 10 teeth iron please ?
  18. Thank you Ren for your help , i found his instagram site , does he hand make all the tools on his site ? if so they look very well made , i would be interested in 2 pricking irons to produce 9 stitch per inch or the equivalent if you could get a price please .
  19. Hi i have had a look on your instagram and your stitching is very neat , i noticed the name C.mason on one of the Pricking Irons but i can't find anything about that company on the net , could you post a link to there web site please ?
  20. Thats good to know about Le prevo , i bought my first lot of tools from them and recently asked them to send me some samples of the leather they sell which they kindly did , it would be nice to be able to visit there factory and have a rummage through their draws, but i live a bit to far away in sunny Lancashire .
