  1. Thanks Bob. I used Fenice edge paint and sanded between coats (about 4 I think) up to 800 grit. Then a little paraffin wax.
  2. This wallet was a challenge - the center section of card pockets flips back and forth. Black matte lizard and gray goat.
  3. I haven't heard of the shoreline Essex. This just black Essex.
  4. Some really cool stuff going on in this sheath. Love the crazy legs stamp and the braided look around the border.
  5. Nice work! Stitching looks great. Interior looks really nice, complex but not overly busy. Creases look good. How many coats did you use for your edges? Looks like they just need more sanding and a few more coats... But it gets old I know.
  6. Thanks y'all. I used a Vergez Blanchard pricking iron 9 tpi.
  7. These card holders could be used in the front pocket:
  8. Horween Essex exterior, goat interior, painted and waxed edges, saddle stitched with Lin Cable. My edges turned out a little thick but I'm pretty happy with it. Need to work on my skiving.
  9. I've been trying to delete some old photos too. There is no way that I can find either... unless the problem is that I'm using an iPad. Good luck.
  10. If you're looking for luxury type leathers you'll need to look for leathers from France, Italy and Germany, mostly calf skins. Check http://www.fineleatherworking.com
  11. Looks like a Joseph Dixon. Scroll down to pg 18. http://www.boothandco.com/catalogue.pdf
  12. The video is not my work. I do follow his technique when antiquing. I've never used Bag Kote so I can't say if it will work as a resist or not.
  13. I don't spray but I use Clear Lac then antique and then Tan Kote. Then a final finish of Clear Lac.
  14. No, yours is flat. You want a diamond shaped chisel.Looks like you did a nice wet mold...
  15. Regular PVA white glue for leather will work fine. Try Fiebing's. You might need to rough up any finished surface first. If you're using a stitching chisel you can punch all the way through but a stitching groove might help too. If you don't want your work to look like crap don't use a dremel tool to drill holes for stitching. The holes are too big and are neither angled nor diamond shaped. Most pros who do great work use two needles and an awl.
