  1. Nice work FireFly! Hobbihorse
  2. or..."making" this!!
  3. I am so sorry to hear about your frustration. The USPS lost my package of vintage craftool stamps valued at $200 that was shipped from a private party in North Dakota. The last tracking location was the Richmond, California hub. Despite my badgering anyone who would answer the phone, and filing lost mail forms, it was never found, and USPS basically said, "too bad". It was insured for $50, but the 30 day limit had passed. The sender was awesome, he was going to return my $200 and take the loss, but it wasn't his fault the Postal Service lost the package. He was a knife maker, and instead of craftools, I got a beautiful knife with an eagle carved into a torquoise-colored antler instead. I sure hope the sender will do good to you. It is a very unfortunate situation.
  4. Thanks Tboyce. I look forward to naking this!
  5. Great advice! Thank You!! I've gotten such incredable tips from this site, and my leather projects have improved as a result. Thanks again Tboyce, Hobbihorse
  6. Tandy Leather now sells both a football kit and a baseball kit in their 2015 catalogue. A gal I know tooled a beautiful Sheridan design on a baseball. It looked awesome! I haven't seen the football tooled yet.
  7. Awesome! You are very generous. Thank you for the pattern!
  8. Beautiful work!
  9. Howdy - I went thru my folders, but did not find the exact pattern. However, for anyone interested in similar billfold construction with the veg tanned inside corner (and filigreed) pockets, several patterns can be found in Al Shelton's Pro-Patterns Series Two booklet, and F.O. Bairds Leather Secrets book page 45. Hope you find your pattern. Good Luck!
  10. Howdy - I'm looking for a vintage Tandy "Paul Bunyon Jr" purse pattern, which is slightly different than the "Paul Bunyon" purse. I attached pics. If anyone has a pattern they don't mind parting with, I'd love to purchase it! At this juncture in my "lack of" experience, I'm not ready to make my own pattern and risk wasting good leather!!
  11. Jazzman, Let us know when you finish your first project. You're at the right place to get help!!

  21. Thanks Manypawz. I saw your new 2 sleeve harmonica case. Very nice!
  22. Bruce Johnson - OMG I found your webste when I first started leatherwork, and so admire your work! We keep our horse (recently had to put our 2nd horse down) at Basso's Areana in North Livermore off Vasco Rd, and I work at the Livermore VA. I'd LUV to take a road trip to see your shop. My "shop" is where our kitchen table used to be. The table was replaced with a big vintage desk. Fortunately my family is very supportive of my leatherwork. Hubby Mike drives me to Tandy in Union City every Saturday for classes, and he tolerates my leather overflowing into the dining room. Early on I bought the 3 editions of Al Stolhmans Encyclopedia of Saddlemaking at Tandy, and a saddle pattern on ebay... eager for the day when I have the experience and confidence to make one! Tramp - Cool ride. What kind of MC accessories do you make?
  23. Ohhh Monica - My heart sank when I saw the pic! I've spilled a few, but on tile (The grout is still discolored). My spills are mostly a bright red color...as in bloodshed. I take pics of all my owies, and now have quite a portfolio. haha! Send us a pic after cleanup and final "repairs". And God Bless your darling husband!!!!
  24. Nice work Manypawz. The cases on your ETSY site are very cool!
  25. Leese, that is a very clever design! I am amazed (and intimidated) by the awesome talent on this website! I look forward to seeing your next creation.
