Has anyone tried dipping the part in that liquid rubber stuff they sell to dip tool handles in? Haven't tried it but just a thought.

Holster makers opinions requested
Jordan replied to okiwen's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
That is one of the toughest areas of product development for an artisan, trying to figure out how many stupid ways people will misuse your product or any product for that matter, kinda like the story about the guy who put his brand new motor home on cruise control and went into the back to make a samich LOL. One I know did happen was a semi driver that tried to close the side access door by stepping out on the running board, and he fell off. lucky the dummy was in a parking lot at very low speed, but he still got run over, didn't walk to well for awhile after that. -
Gun belt measurments
Jordan replied to Rhome's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I beg to differ, this forum is NOT anything like all the others. There are outstanding individuals here that are more than willing to share their knowlege and opinions, no one that I have read seems to have intentionally flamed or otherwise belittled anyone for those opinions. Y'all keep up the good works and post more dang pictures so I can massage them into my projects -
1/16 maybe?

After the 1st 72 hours it is all mental and physical reconditioning, which is way harder than the physiological withdrawl from the nicotine. I have not been able to get over that hump and I have gone back many times, but take heart there are millions that have quit, you can do it too.

Only thing I can suggest is to turn the table so it is more inviting to step inside, more elbow room also. And maybe a vynl banner sign along the front skinny so head room is not an issue.

Gun belt measurments

Just to interject a note here that I have seen else where, Radius belts do generate more waste, which I imagine is perfectly oke-dokee if the price of the item reflects it. -
Maybe I'm a little skewed in this area, My favorite part is when someone says " That is just what I need, How much?" And we make the exchange, my time and talent for their money!

Blue guns are available in black also

There are some makers that I noticed in their photos of their shops have a few aluminum guns, maybe they will chime in, HBE web site has a photo also maybe he will let you know by email. I think I read a much earlier thread pre crash of 08 that there are no mfg's at this time due to costs related to design and tooling to make them. Maybe you could make a plaster mold? That would hold up to the heat I think. Another option is a non fring replica from a mfg. I have seen some for around $80 online.

Ohio Travel Bag Co. has black metal ones but you will need a resale # to get a catolog unless you get them on a good day on the phone

Start with a business plan template you can get one or two off the sba and a few other sites. In the meantime a book called small time operator is a pretty good resource for all the stuff you need to do to stay out of trouble. Basiclly you need to decide if you want to go legal right away with permits, resale lic. etc, just a few things to get you going.

Advice for IWB tuckable holster.
Jordan replied to mosldent's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
You may be able to wet and roll the leather away into a sort of a lip. They both look great to me -
Yes that time is rather foggy for me but I am rediscovering the music I used to survive the late 60's and 70's. Saw Taj live in hollywierd way back Paladium I think. I have to add Kristofferson and Rita Coolidge the Doors The Stones and of course The Johnny Otis Review and Ry Cooder, F. Zappa's weasles rip my flesh, The MUD SHARK Baby!. And the beat goes on LOL.

Flip Flop Keychain
Jordan replied to Storm's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Your welcome, glad to see your making money from scrap and it would appear that the creative juices are flowing. LOL have fun. I have made about 6 so far and I am sure they will sell when I get my booth setup. I would post some pics but I lost them all in an upgrade, should have done a clean install, oh well live and learn. -
Yup, vacum is next step. The only option I get in that screen is to delete the attachments (photos). I can download them 1 at a time but was hoping there was a way to select them all and download them all at the same time.

I will give that a try thanks. By the way is there a way to download all the photos I have posted on the board back onto my computer all at once or do I have to do them one at a time?

Make your own patterns do your own reaserch and developement etc. I doubt if there would be a problem if you produced your own documentation for a specific holster you make if asked by someone to prove it's your own work. That said, size shape and such are limited due to the nature of the product. Where you would probably run into snags is a design that incorporates any attachment method that has a patent. I don't think that belt slots would as they are pretty generic. I am sure there are alot of other opinons in this area. and pre crash of 08 there was a brief somewhat heated thread on the subject. Main jist was as I said above do your own work in design and testing and have documentation. -
Toshiba Satelite P35-S605 Pentium 4 ATI Mobility Raedeon 9000 IGP 17" widescreen. I got most setup again. Never could get the photo card slots to work, proprietary. I think with age my fans are losing the ability to cool things seems to be a heat related shutdown problem mostly when I use the dvd/cdrom drive.

I feel for ya. Same predicament here. Years ago I used a rehab center that had a vat of some kind with really warm wax in it. You kind of neaded it around, man that really felt good and took the pain away. Didn't do a thing for swelling though.

My problem was the computer turned itself off prior to finish messed everything lost all. Then it just wouldn't stop shutting itself off. Finally got 7.10 back on. As far as I could tell there is something that chokes the power management programs on this laptop. Once installed and then everything is ok. Just wierd I say. And yes It happens everytime I upgrade.

I will most likely be on and off the next few days, tried to upgrade to the newest ubuntu linux. Should have known better, never try the newest model of anything, wait till the bugs are scurrying away. Total system crash lost all my stuff, pics docs etc. lucky most is on cd's just have to find them. I just got the darn machine to load and stay on for more than a minute at a time.
