  1. Inside the waistband, outside the waistband between the belt and pants, pancake is on the belt with slots, there are lots of others mainly abreviations so a persons doesn't have to write it out longhand. Takes awhile to pick up on them though and don't even know if I am right most of the time. LOL
  2. Could not find it, but I do remember a post with photos of a sewing method where the stitches continued from bottom of each loop at an angle to the top of the next behind the loop, was that lost in the crash or am I just no good at searching the forum? I mention it because it was a method that had a very clean finished look and was not as bulky looking as the slot and strap methods I have seen.
  3. Make um match a full size then line 2 of em up on the opposite side to carry your preloaded magazines, guess that would be a belt full'o'holsters.
  4. My handy dandy zippo case haven't lost one since I started using it
  5. My nick names over the years have been based on my last name which people have alot of trouble with, Nygaard, most places like the doctor's office just calls out my first name so's not to offend anyone, as their pronunciations are downright comical to me, but have been deemed pretty much politically incorrect and offensive, so now it is just Jordan. Can't even begin to pronounce the Norwiegen version, been told it means new farm, so my name loosely translated would be Earthy New Farm.
  6. That is a really nice piece they did a great job. Do you think they would supply the measured drawings?
  7. I used 4/5 wt. about what is supplied in a tandy wallet kit that I used for comparison, could be 5/6 not real good at this wt. thing, just kinda go with what I think will work and not be to thick to close properly. The thicker it is the more you would need to gouge out at the folds.
  8. excellent, reminds me of the early 70's crusin the beach towns of SoCal, cool.
  9. I invested in 5 and some magazines for around 240 if memory serves. I am still doing R&D on most and have not created an opportunity to sell any yet. The ones I got are the common types like 45 and 9mm a fairly even mix of sizes from .380 conceal to a fairly large 1911. I would be interested in hearing what models are more popular sellers around the country. I have not had much time to go to local dealers and ask questions but that is on the to do list, so much to do, and so little time, shucks.
  10. Great looking rig, should last for years. Will does offer some good patterns, picked up the lawdog and cartridge belts patterns at tandy the other day. Now just have to save my pennies for the leather and hardware, aw shoot, gotta get me a revolver now too!
  11. Foredom I think is the name of a very good setup, foot control, flex shaft and lots of attachments, dremel stuff works with it. Is a little pricey but is very good commercial grade tool. Used by guitar makers and woodworkers mostly. I have an old adjustable speed dremel that I use sometimes but I also like hand burnished on one offs. Production is another kettle of fish though, anything that can speedup the process and give good results is a good thing.
  12. I don't think you would be happy with it, but if you placed the seam and wrapped the leather completely around the belt where the holster would sit it might work ok. I have read that a maker would sometimes put extra thickness in this area to support the added weight of a large pistol.
  13. I worry more about fast talking flimflammers that try to shortchange or confuse in order to get or give wrong change and such. The grifters treat it as a challenging game and if your not on top of yours you could lose cash and product too. Luckily most of them choose bigger and better targets. I will be using a second person this year, more for the company, but a second pair of eyes is a deterent especially if they belong to a very protective wife. LOL. Good luck with your setup and hope you make lotsa dough.
  14. It is not really a question of if, it is when. There is a world of very poor excuses for humans out there but it is not something I think about too often. I would let the police deal with it as it really is one of the costs of doing business. While it would be nice to open a can'o'whoopass on a scumbucket once in a while, it is really not going to change that type of person, one can only hope they see the error of their ways before it is to late. As is written "vengeance is mine, sayith the lord". As personal addedumn; payback is a real beotch.
  15. I like it. There is something about a functional leather item without all the fancy hardware that makes it all the more special. Way to go.
  16. Having the same thoughts while waiting to hear from the artist panel for the farmers market. Last year was pretty rushed so it was a couple of foldup tables, a tripod and pegboard thingy and a very well padded patio chair under a 10x10 popup cover. Worked ok but I want to do a little more this year so I may design and build some simple tabletop displays that foldup or breakdown for storage. Some better signage especially so there is no price misunderstanding. And some type of table covering. That will have to do as $$$ are a huge rarity. I was amazed at two things last year 1. Everyone wants it for free. 2. The wristbands sold very well.
  17. I believe there is a howto on the main page written by Marlon.
  18. The harder I try to get my stitches to look that good, the worse they look. Real nice job.
  19. Don't particularly like neetsfoot seems to oily and to easy to apply too much. I have had good results with regular virgin olive oil not the extra. Plus I like the smell of it. Also it's been around for a couple of thousand years so it can't be that bad. From what I've read about it, it has been used for dang near anything you can think of, and makes a dandy salad dressing too.
  20. Jordan

    Maker stamp

ArtS, that is a really nice stamp. Very creative.
  21. Apparently a whole lotta stuff all at once! LOL
  22. And Viola' or is it walla! all done with my second pair. Oh wait this is a pic of my 1st pair cause I am to busy traipsing around in the new ones to take a pic. Hope this gives you all an idea of what goes into a pair of sandals. There are a bunch of little details that I am still figuring out as I go.... thats what I like about leather projects uh huh uh huh I like it! Enjoy. Sorry bout the horendouse feets but you gotta work with what you got.
