Turn it on a 45 degree and you get hearts.

Andy, you can see some photos in the sandal thread that I just made, if you are still looking for some sandal ideas.

Speaking of Doo-Dah, Any collectors out there? I have an original flyer for the 1st parade signed by the artist Dr. Spike Loveland, my fav was the precision briefcase marching band and the giant condoms dancing down the road for planned parenthood. Sorry for the topic wander...Jordan...Winner and grand po-ba of the 1st occasional buster bug pinball championship in downtown pasadener. LOL Very nice work by the way.

Finished sewing, still need some edge treatment and olive oil/sunlight to darken. I think they may be a good seller this summer.

They fit real nice, one of the perks of making them I suppose. I will need to wear them awhile to break them in but the olive oil on the straps really made them pretty soft around the toe. -
Well here are my HeyZuesChristos! As I can't drink anymore so it's time for some sponge cake and a cheeseburger in paradise......

One down one to go, really fits nice, a little olive oil to soften them up and I may not get any blisters, makes you feet smell like a Greek Salad!

Wowzers, I'm movin on up! Thanks...Jordan LOL -
I do have a neels and yes the bottom piece of leather does get chewed up sometimes, worse if any moisture is present, I have very carefully buffed the teeth smoother after grinding the edges rounder rather than shorter if that makes any sense. It was Ed's machine so some of the grinding had already been done so I mostly rounded and smoothed. Too much and the leather will not advance so there is a limit to the modifications.

I had to explain why I had 2 cartons of cigareetes when I drove a tractor trailer into Calgary to deliver avacados from mexico in the dead of winter. Guess the border officers thought I was a real desparado and going to supply the the whole country, they tried to confiscate them but let it slide when I told them I was going to the west coast for my second drop and I smoked alot. That was almost 15 years ago, Hwy 1 was quite a drive biggest mountains I ever saw.

I have to dig out their catalog, where did I stash it oh yea on the botom of the stack LOL thanks. Birk's would be high class, the envy of all. I picked up the right length straps today and am going to start sewing them together tomorrow.

Amazing isn't it, that thread on purse prices awhile back was a real eye opener too.

Thanks, I haven't decided on the bottoms yet crepe sounds good. I thought about all kinds of things like hobnails, rivets, tooled ridges, rubber poundo board or just leave them plain leather and wear them out while planning my next new and improved pair. I think I'll call them Heyzueschristos.

Really cool edge treatment, exellente as usual, dangit I gotta practice more. -
Well there is always methane, unfortunately I don't think I could eat enough beans to get to the store and back!

2 steps forward 1 step back, 37" of 3/4 strap is to short by about 5", back to tandy for a couple of longer ones. So far they are coming together nicely and is turning into a real learning/problem solving project. I also find that my strap channels need to be deeper so the foot pad is not so bumpy, I have very tender tootsies I guess LOL

Very nice I like the colors and designs I am sure she will get years of use out of it. It's always good to try new things, variety is the spice so to speak, plus learning solutions to new problems is always worth the effort.

Thanks for the kudos, the stitching on the back is decorative around the belt loop portion but sewed to the sweat guard in the middle like an inverted H. I should have extended it a few more holes to the left and right for additional strength, next time maybe, It was an idea I thought I would try instead of the conventional belt loops I have done in the past. -

Have'nt had time to try it yet, but it has a good curve to it, hugs well and is very stiff. I only have a blue gun so the weight is not what a real one would be but it sits low in the holster so most of the weight should be right at the beltline. -
If you have room on the list I am looking for a business card size stamp/logo ideas. I just went legal with the state and city as "Nygaard Custom Leatherworks" and would like to emboss my scrap leather as cards I can distro to paying customers. Have'nt really settled on products yet other than holsters, belts, bags, wristbands and cases, still experimenting and making whatever strike me at the time. If you get to it I can give you more info through a PM. Jordan

There is a pic in another thread of the back, "Pattern making problem" I think. I just used a dauber at first then switched to a sponge. I cant find the post so here is a terrible pic of the back and I put a pic of the pieces in the 1st post -
I just started this project today, I used an old pair of flipflops that fit me pretty good for a pattern and I plan on a stationary looped heel strap and a one piece ajustable strap and buckle to hold um on my feet. I may have some trouble in the toe area as I think the slots are alittle too close together.
