  1. Feel free, I can always use visual aids in design for holsters, belts, attachment methods etc. You never can tell where the next big idea will come from.
  2. I've always refered to them as Zorries, Beachwalkers or Flipflops, always figgered a wanker was about the same as a butthead. As for the rest I have'nt a bloomin clue.
  3. This one's incognito, no signature or makers mark, keep um guessing at the antique road show in a hundred years.
  4. A couple of thoughts, vibration may have loosened them to the point of release, blue loctite will take care of that, just a drop on each. Do Not Use red loctite unless you want them permenent. If the screws are stripped then replace, If the holes are stripped then a retap or helicoil is in order, retap go with a slightly larger diameter and longer screw, helicoil will need a smaller screw I think. These are a couple of things I have done with repairing old motorcycles, but should translate to any vibration prone machinery.
  5. Ice cold FOSTERS, same in any language Ahhhhhhhh!
  6. I just sat down with some graph paper and a bluegun and started drawing. I am sure that I had seen holsters similar, but didn't have one in front of me, so yes I guess you could say it was a Jordan Original. Your's turned out great I like the twotone and the moulding.

    Leather walls

I could get a good random pattern by slathering my mistakes with glue and throwing em at the walls, would take care of the aggression too. LOL Kinda where the flooring thread is heading. LOL
  8. Lining gives a real nice finished look, I don't know if from a functional aspect lining is worth it. Brings up the extra thickness issue and essentially your making two holsters. If a liner is wanted maybe rough side out would serve the same purpose? Personal taste I guess, If it is a western style I think a liner is a good idea for the finished look. Also any metal used like a snap, clip or retention strap definetly needs to be seperated from contact with the weapon but that could be accomplished without a full liner. Just my ramblings on the subject...Jordan

    Roller Cutter

Good to know, I may pick one up and give it a try, Razorknives exactos and scissors get to be a pain, sometimes literally if I slip.

    Hi All

Just remember to go with the flow, and enjoy working with leather. You will just kind of wakeup one day and have found your niche.

    My bookmarks so far

Mike you were not alone on that thought imagine my shock when a screen full of text showed up instead of nice mellow leather book marks,!
  12. Kinda like codpieces for saddles Sorry couldn't resist. LOL
  13. Ahhhh the holy grail of holster design, to be able to design and make a holster that anyone who wears it all day long will swear it isn't even there! That quest is either going to make me boatloads of cash or sink me. LOL

    Roller Cutter

There are alot of crossover tools available and it does pay to shop around. I think it will work real nice on the thinner leather but as with any tool there is a limit. Enjoy
  15. It's done, I am glad it is for me because there is way to much wrong with it to offer it as a gift or for sale. The next one will be better. I included a couple of different lighting methods.
  16. A real beauty that one is. Where do you find enough hours in a day to finish all those seats so fast, I tried lacing a wallet last summer and it took me 3 days.LOL Jordan
  17. Luke, That is a real cool effect and great colors. Are those 1" letter stamps, or carved?
  18. Thats a dollar more an hour than I am making.
  19. My thoughts exactly, when I read the name my first thought was " fool me once shame on me" etc.
  20. Thanks for the kind comments, My hope is that it will look better when I put a finish on it, seems I fall into the trap of the more I tinker the more I can mess it up on most things. I noticed the cross stamp does not sit flat on my stone, I get a deeper impression towards the top of the cross when held straight up and down I don't know if this is right or just a poor tool? Not sure of the wt. 4/5 I think, pretty thin maybe an eighth of an inch. It will be thicker on the edges and spine due to the sandwich of the interior liner and the border of the same wt. as the cover.
  21. Halfway between Tuscon and Mexico, Cattle Ranches abound, and they make good wine in Elgin. Best part for me is there are not alot of people, still workin on that 5 year plan now reduced to 2 or 3 because it's to darn cold in Utah.

  23. Couple of quick pics of a cover for my Bible I am putting together, 2nd pic is an out of focus view of the inside. Still needs sewing and alot of fine tuning. My stamping and carving skills seem to be on vacation as of late.
