Fiebings little white bottle I got on clearence for a buck, the stuff is ok but I am leaning towards just a wax and buff finish in the future. I like the nice mellow glow of a more natural finish, acrylic seems so...... plastic! and yes I used a belt sander to Skiv the welt to very thin on the front facing edge, glued and then sewn

which spacing between straps do you like better?

I like the brown one it looks more well proportioned than the black one -
I like, very nice sewing and color.

All done with this one, other than the backside stitching I'm pretty happy with it and will start wearing it tomorrow to see how it works for me. Finished it with Tandy all in one Tan pre ecoflow and clear acrylic over that. Feels very hard but I am hoping it will soften up with use. I don't know what that spot is in the center of the 1st pic it is not on the holster probably some stray flash.

Alittle short for a while but I will let you know when I can afford approx. 6 blueguns and some magazines. If it dose'nt pan out thats ok also.

Seems to have worked pretty good, lined up and made a smooth channel for the sight. I just dyed the edges black and smoothed them up with some gum trag. Still debating color I need to dig out some of my belts and see what will matchup.

Clip attached to holster IWB
Jordan replied to Regis's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Experimentation is the mother of invention....oh wait... that was a zappa band wasn't it.LOL I think as long as the two parts don't interfear with each other when you are drawing it should work out. I may just have to make one myself. -
Clip attached to holster IWB

I have'nt tried it yet but have seen photos of holsters with an integrated magazine, space would be premium as far as layout the magazine would probably need to be slanted away from the pistol kinda like a V shape. Is this what your asking? Would have to be pretty bulky holster. I would say that a double pancake magazine pouch on the other hip would be better that way he could have 3 total -
Here it is sewn and moulded, stitches look ok on the front but like crap on the back, now gotta wait for it to dry before I finish it any suggestions on color? I'm thinkin lite brown or tan

Actually the pdf was sent in their email to me not on their site it has property rights stuff at the bottom so I don't think I can post a link....Jordan -
I stand corrected, I wasn't real sure because I had seen the name on a german site awhile back, probably got it mixed up with another name when I was researching the rebuilding of my R69S BMW awhile back.

If I can get a blue gun for less $ I am interested. But that said, I don't know if after all the details are hashed out it would worth it for you or be any less than what other companies are charging. I think I paid 34 each and 14 for the magazines and about 12 for shipping from Fl. to Ut. for 5 guns and 3 magazines. I would have to check my invoice to be sure as my memory fades in the evenings. I am interested in what you are able to find out.. Jordan

Gomph is a german company I belive with a real good rep for high quality steel

I like the bersa, quite good quality for the price, made in argentina, I was looking at the PPK but didn't have the money. Size and weight are comprable, alot of good reviews online.

Here are some photos of what I am playing around with right now, I have a IWB for it but I want a belt slot model for practice mostley. It's for my Bersa .380 Thunder. I wanted to try out the idea of a sewn in wedge for a sight channel.

I think I like this one
Jordan replied to WaG35's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Also "nice work" interesting loop construction only thing I can see is the upper shield area could be a little wider and taller, unless it's just an optical illusion in the pic. -

Thanks guys, the hearts were neat looking when I saw them on the tandy site, they have a short tutorial pdf for download so I gave it a try and yes keeping it all lined up is a real bear. -
I think you may have to buy used as it is out of print, at least that is the latest info I have.

Another book cover, alot simpler design on this one, my stitching is improving but messed up the finish it was supposed to be smoke black hilite but I ended up putting way to much neetsfoot on it. Now I know to use it sparingly LOL. -
My First Holster & Questions
Jordan replied to Hilborne's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
As a side note, I have been told and read elsewhere, that you do not want to mould to tightly to the actual trigger, which to me is a reasonable idea, as you don't need the leather to pull the trigger for you when re-holstering. Very good 1st holster by the way, that is how I did my 1st one also. -
LOL, yes slow to the boil but once over the rim watch out.

PBS had a show years ago about the US Cavalry experimenting with the use of camels in the western states, I think it was sometime after the civil war, pehaps some military museum would have plans available?

IWB holster for Glock 27
Jordan replied to usmc0341's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Lively debate aside, I enjoyed the read gave me alot of information to digest which I will incorporate into my database, the mind is a wunerful thing better than a computer anyday. Thank you all for the input and now I think I'll break out the graph paper and design another one.
