At the bottom of the page you can toggle between themes. I will make changes as you ask for them, or make a third theme. The next board update in a month or two will allow the board to display in dark mode at night on a mobile. I could hack it now, but it's coming, and I have other things still on the list for now. Tell me what to change adjust or fix in "second choice" theme.

We did lose a bit of content. The migration finished this morning and I changed the DNS servers. I realized we had half on the old server and half on the new so I force logged everyone out in order to call up the new server as people came back online. I'm looking at improved spam detection right now. I just had to get this other stuff squared away first. ~J

The migration has begun. We are going to a fancy new server to handle the traffic. All will be well in a few hours. If it gets too bad, I'll shut the board off.

Yes. That wasn't an issue yesterday before I thought I fixed it. I'm getting a lag too.

I have a fob for the car I drive, but this ring of keys lives in my purse. When it was smaller and had my car key I let the braided tail hang out of my pocket to grab it quickly. People noticed it all the time and wanted one, too. Now it’s a 35 year old piece of braided goatskin hidden next to my tissues and epi pen. 🤣 The little things do make a difference.

We have some background indexing that is lagging. It’s affecting the search function too. I have another tech looking at it tomorrow. Thanks for your patience. ~J

I think I fixed the upload size issue. Let me know if the board tries to limit you.

The hacker attempted to exploit the mailserver to send spam. Consequently, LW has made several blacklists for email, where it doesn't even go to spam, just bounces. I'm trying to clear our good name. The server is taking forever to reindex the files, so the search function isn't as reliable as usual. That should resolve itself, but I'm still waiting. When it's done indexing, I can bump up pic size permissions and the software will automatically display it at the best size for your screen. If I change the setting now, it's going to try to affect every pic we have and slow the server down further. I've got it on my list with the new skins you want. Some of this just has to wait until the background tasks finish. I really appreciate everyone's patience. The kind words from you guys makes everything worth it. Thank you. Johanna

I had to shut off the old theme because it kept breaking the limits of the sizes things can be. I have to make a new one that works with the current version of this software.

I will make different themes and everyone can choose how they want to see the forum. Right now the server is still doing background clean up tasks and I'm still figuring out how all the new stuff works. When I'm sure all is stable and good I will make themes. Using this one, right now, eliminates a lot of variables while I'm looking at other things. I've been using different versions of this same software now for almost 20 years and themes are not a big deal. I'll make it to where you can click a drop down arrow and select whatever you like best.

Yep. I'll make some alternative themes. I just want to get everything else running properly first. Looks like the hacker tried to exploit the mailserver in the old adserver. I kinda like the integrated ads and the flexibility they have not to break the skin. Thanks @BlackDragon and holler if you see anything that needs attention.

@dikmanI was hoping the brown bar would help. People seem to like the lighter background, so let's try it for a bit? It's easy to change if we decide we don't like it anymore. I'm really liking how it seems to fit on the phones better. You can collapse categories if you don't want to scroll too far. The server is still running clean up tasks in the background so I expect the search functions and some of the errors to resolve in the next day or two. The database is over 700G so it takes a while to process. What do you think of the emails? I just love the logo at the top. Is anyone having problems getting their private messages? All of mine seem to be working and intact. Also you may want to check your notifications in your profile because there are different options now, and it looks like some folks got reset to default.

I put the brown header back. Does that help? The logo isn't acting right and I'm leaving it off for now. What do you think of the ads? I think they are less intrusive not being all bunched up. Is anyone having any issues on a mobile device? Trying to sort everything out before I go on to the next thing.

I'll paint the car when I'm sure the engine is running well. If you guys are noticing any issues please let me know. We got hacked Friday night. All member data is safe. This is just the default "skin" because I'm figuring out how to put humpty dumpty back together again. The server is running clean up tasks in the background, so the lag will clear up in a bit. I've got a list of things to take care of, but at 3 am I thought the board was gonna be toast. I was fortunate to have layers of updates this time, because they acted like bandaids and the hacker didn't get anything they wanted. I had to do a clean install, so the database, which is huge (700G) is still cleaning up. I expect to find broken links here and there- do me a favor and let me know if you're seeing other problems that aren't just "the look"right now. Thanks for your patience, everyone!

I’ll check into that. I can see the benefits of compression because LW is clunky on the server side after 18 years.
