    Hello All, I recently picked up a UMC Clicker press that requires USMC SPEC. 150A OIL. I've not been successful with finding a civilian equivalent oil to refill the machine with. If anyone can please point me in the right direction as to what's the replacement or civilian equivalent it would be much appreciated. Stangman645

    I love Maverick Leathers. I've been buying from them for a few years now. I first visited them when they were still here in California. Awesome place good folks. I live and die for the Horween horse fronts, strip and russets. I mostly get the CXL and use it for a lot of my wallets and passport or leather binders I make. I have never had a problem with any orders from them.

    Perlinger in Germany for calf skin and Alran for goat skin are the suppliers for Hermes. Alran I think is owned by Hermes.

    I was shocked when I seen the post of Tandy. I was in the Navy for about 13 years and went and applied as was approved this is a awesome deal as I was always paying for the Gold membership.

    I will share with you what I've learned from using similar leather. I found that it's best to line this type of leather with another leather that has just a tad bit more firmness to it. I usually use goat or calf skin. Skiving comes with practice. I've practice so much I can pretty much use my head knife now to cut and skive with. The key is making sure your knives are always sharp.\ I still give the project a thumbs up very nice and clean.
