I had a roll of 4" that I bought at an auction years and years ago but I have no idea where it came from back then. About 5 years ago I tried to find some for a job and I did track down a manufacturer in NZ, I think, but had to buy about a 100 yards or so and it just wasn't worth it. That's all that I can offer. Try the 'net for makers of the stuff, you may get lucky. Tony.

Who Uses Insert Stiffeners For Gun Belts?
tonyc1 replied to Fredo's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I've used stainless steel strips that the local tinsmith will give me when I need anything. I just tell him what size and he fishes a bit out of the rubbish skip and he just puts it in his guillotine and it only takes 5 minutes. -

Lois, When you say it jams, I assume you mean it stops. If this is so, hold it in and move the flywheel away or toward you depending on whether you want to lengthen or shorten the stitch. When you have turned the wheel a little let it go and try the stitch to see if it suits you. If not, adjust it again. Tony.

Yes, they're not common now, those sweets. We still have jelly quite often especially with ice cream or Pavlova. And my wife wants to know how you make cheesecake without evaporated milk and as far as condensed milk goes I can still eat spoonfuls of it easily. I like to be around when the boss makes mayonnaise and I can scrape out the milk tin. I haven't had a milk jelly for over 50 years and had forgotten all about them. We do have now and again Junket and sometimes Blancmange though. We still sometimes have Sago or Tapioca which isn't very common these days! There are a lot of good edibles from the past that aren't consumed now. Tony.
