My strap cutter is the same as this one. Instead of being hand cranked it has had a motor put on it to save labour. Tony.

Well, Wiz, mine has the wheel on the front of the machine and I don't think it is an antique like some are using. Perhaps Singer made some for south of the equator and some for the north! What do you classify as modern? Tony.

I've never used an Adler patcher, but I have a Singer and the hand wheel must turn clockwise to operate. Tony.

Mark, where did you get the Square Eye stainless snaps from? Tony.

I use a Singer patcher and the Eye of the needle and the long groove of the needle need to face left of the machine. It doesn't look as if that is the way you have your needle inserted. Tony.

What are you using as a base under the leather to punch into? You need a good solid base. I use a two and a half inch by nine inch piece of lead and I can usually punch through in 1 hit. Tony -

For the past 25 years I've always used Break-Free on the surface of any metal and firearms and it has prevented any surface rust on my gear. Tony.

I'm just a tad over 6 feet and my main work bench table height is 3' 4" off the floor. I like the height as I don't have to bend over very often. Tony.

I'll second that. Someone I know from this state has lost his wife and is himself in hospital. He took his wife on a holiday to celebrate her 50th. and something terrible like that happens. Tony.
