Hi Art. On my 205, I've only ever used the top tensioner to alter tension, the bottom one is just the same as when I got the machine and I use #160 to #230 needles and thread from #20 to #10 and any adjustment I do is very minimal and by doing it this way it is easy to pull the thread out when you lift the foot as the tension relaxes when you lift the foot.

Hi Andy. I have a 205 and the only time I've had a problem similar to this is when a bit of crap got under the thread tension plate that is on the bobbin case. I now pull the plate off every couple of months and give it a clean and seems to be ok.

I reckon it would be good if the Knifemakers would now begin to make custom Boxcutters to go with the fancy sheaths. Could be a another money maker, who knows?
I had pigeons as a kid app 50 years ago! A lot of people had pigeons in the city in those days and raced them of course and the local chinese laundry would buy all the ones I didn't want and pay me 30 cents each for them and a packet of cigarettes was only 25 cents so I thought it was a good deal in those days.
Carlos, the machine is a Pederson Sole Stitcher. It is a machine built for the shoe trade. They're a handy little machine. They're good for stitching along the edges of pocket knife or pocket watch pouches as they stitch sideways. You can still buy parts for them.
Regards, Tony.
Thanks very much for your help, John. It looks as if it is sold under many diff. guises, as no doubt, many other items are! I thought I'd get some help here from the other members knowledge. It's a real font of information.
There is a Protex walking foot machine for sale nearby and although I haven't been to look at it I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about Protex TY - 0618 - 1?
