  1. How do I put my pin on the map. I've clicked on the spot but nothing appears or stays there?
  2. Kevin, I've tried using double sided tape on a couple of awkward jobs a couple of years ago and the adhesive built up on the machine's needle and caused too many missed stitches, so I gave up. What's the secret? Tony.
  3. Which I did, but nothing stayed there!
  4. How does one pin themself to the map?
  5. Thanks, William. It appears that he is still around and kicking, which is good to know.
  6. After reading all about Peter Main, Al Shelton's name flashed thru my mind and I wondered if he is still around these days?
  7. Jordan, I'd say that you don't have enough tension on the top!
  8. You could try engineering supply businesses, as it is known as "Engineering Felt" out here and I always obtain mine there.
  9. It is an old Dixon brand screw creaser. I've had it for 40 years and it was really old when I got it. Dixon are an english brand but they are good tools.
  10. This is the easiest, cleanest and cheapest method I've used for heating my creaser over the years. It is a small camping stove that uses a throwaway tin of gas that costs app $2.99 and will last for months. No soot etc on creaser, gets hot in seconds! Tin is about three and a half inches by 4 inches.
  11. I agree Ed. I bought one of these app 30 years ago and it wasn't worth 20c then.
  12. Yes, that's all I've ever done on english bridle and harness, heat the creaser over a small gas flame and it will give a good finish!
  13. There is a stitching horse for sale on Ebay.
  14. Could we please see a snap of the Cha-weegle? My wife is intrigued by the thought!
  15. You have forgotten to give us the examples of profiles.
  16. Do you have a leather point needle in the machine. These are available with a left or right hand twist!
  17. Hi Ed, can you tell me what Ferdie's web address is please. Kind regards, Tony.
  18. Hi Ed,They are $3.15 each and there are 4 of them.Forgot to add that they come in #160,#200, #230 and #250.
  19. I have only just found out who made 2 splitters I have used for 40 years. They were made by Hanson and are great tools when sharpened correctly. They are a pull thru type and have a 10" blade and the great thing about them is that I've never had a piece slice itself in half like can happen with the Osborne type #86 which I also have. I am awaiting delivery of a new splitter from Campbell Bosworth modelled after the Osborne#84 but it is probably a week away yet so I can't comment about it. I will be selling 1 of the Hanson splitters and the #86 Osborne after I get the new one to defray cost, so if anyone is interested let me know. This should be interesting about different splitters and their actions, so send in your comments and photos as well!
