  1. If Alligator tastes like croc I have to agree with you. We don't have crocs down here in the south but we do eat 'roo, wallaby, hare and rabbits. I like deer but wife and kids don't so I don't do much deer shooting these days and you have to walk too much whereas I can get the rest of them in my backyard except for the 'roo, I have to go a mile or so for them. 'Roo meat is good as it has no cholesterol and the family all like it. We have the 'roo like a pot roast or casserole or patties. I really think there is nothing quite like a good leg of lamb, though. Tony.
  2. No, it was the only photo on ebay.
  3. Hi Greg. I've never seen one of these before either. It was for sale on Ebay a few weeks ago. Different though, isn't it? Perhaps someone here might throw some light on it. TOny.
  4. Here is the photo of the gear driven Pearson I mentioned. Tony.
  5. Hi Grumpy. I've never seen a Pearson in as good a condition as yours, it's really great! I've had 8 of them over the years and they are a great machine and do a good job. The only problem was that you couldn't get fine needles to do fine work. A friend of mine has one that has an electric motor and it looks as old as the machine itself. There was also one for sale on ebay a couple of months ago, in South Australia and was gear driven. I've never seen one like that anywhere before either. If I can find a photo of it I'll post it on here! Tony.
  6. Ray, what diameter are these bolts? Tony
  7. 25 years ago I saw a belt stamped on the inside saying "Genuine Imitation Leather" at least they were honest!!! Tony.
  8. A few grains of lead usually stops them hopping! Tony.
  9. The spirit based dye that Birdsalls have or had is good dye, minimal rub off. I bought a gallon of black and brown app. 10 years ago and it's still good! Tony.
  10. Can you buy 'roo meat over there, Tom? Tony
  11. Hi Bruce. I got drunk on Gin about 40 years ago, it repeated on me for about a week and I've never been able to stand the smell of it since! Tony.
  12. Well, lucky you! It's 2.39 pm and I'm having coffee and creamcake! Tony.
  13. Any experiences I had in the past with Raven oil were lousy as it rubbed off on things, Dave. I guess you must have mastered the way to apply it. Tony.

I located some manufacturer in New Zealand some years ago but never chased it up. Try there. Tony.
  15. You could come to Tasmania. It's a small beautiful island state and it doesn't take long to get around. Look it up on the 'net. We only have 1/2 million population and pretty easy going and you could call in for coffee!!! Have a good time, Tony.
  16. Are you only going to Sydney, Shorts? Tony.
  17. Hey,Ray. Which one is your castle? Tony.
  18. Barra, I notice in your picture there is a rifle bucket. I do some work for our local Lighthorse blokes and when I first watched the movie some years ago and asked one of them why they carried their rifles across their back, which is very uncomfortable, he said that they didn't use rifle buckets as there were not enough to be a general issue in those days of WW1. Is this true? Cathleen Edkins can't be a spring chicken these days! Kind regards, Tony.
  19. I think that Sarah Palin would appeal to a lot of males for her beauty, hunting and fishing skills, wouldn't she? A lot of men would appreciate women like her! Tony.
  20. That's good news for you then.News footage we are seeing is pretty wild! My wife would like to know what sort of horses your wife trains? Mine is a keen horsewoman and my daughter. Tony.
  21. I suggested a beard app 25 years ago but she who must be obeyed said "I could have a beard but I'd get nothing else", if you know what I mean!, Needless to say I'm still clean shaven!!! Tony.
  22. Fortunately, we never experience hurricanes or tornadoes down here. I am wondering what precautions you can take or do take with large livestock like horses in these areas? Tony.
