I live in New England. My shop is in the second story of a barn. I have 4 machines in my shop as well as a crease and splitter. I have no problem with rust. I would recommend insulation for the garage and a dehumidifier. The humidity is the biggest problem for us New Englanders.

Maybe have someone else run the machine while you look and listen. Better yet remove the belt and have them hand wheel the machine. I know with the bull there is a bearing that runs in a groove on the hand wheel that has to be greased. Not sure on the juki.

They are pre wound bobbins for a commercial Juki with 2 needles. They used the machines to sew banners. I do not know the model #

I have 12 one pound spools of # 69 bonded nylon sewing machine thread. White in color and several boxes of bobbins. I would like $60 for the whole lot. Buyer to pay shipping. I will be posting pictures

Interesting. I would pull the inspection plate from the back of the machine and see if it gets louder. Also look for a loose part or screw that might have fallen or gotten wedged. I agree that most machines do not get oiled enough.

I was able to negotiate a deal. She now sits in my shop waiting to be cleaned and checked. Ordered a few minor parts. As soon as I have my needles we wiser if she will stitch. Fingers and everything thing else crossed. Lol

Wiz I am going to look at the machine on Tuesday. It doesn’t have a needle to test it . I do have needles for a 29-4 patcher, do you think it might work just to see if it will see?

I believe there is already a master saddlery school in Maryland that holds classes twice a year. But it is always nice to have another option. You can always learn something new. You never stop discovering new ways and skills.

So I am contemplating yet another sewing machine. I have had Singer 29-4 in the past. But found this Adler 30-70. I have made arrangements to go see how rough it really is. I know parts are pricey but where in the USA do I find parts for it. I like that it can use a heavier thread Since I intend on using it to repair English riding boots.
