  1. I have posted up a bunch of them in the Market place area, Thanks for looking: http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=14232
  2. I have collected a bunch of (mostly purse) patterns. Now I'm getting warm enough in my clothes to do my own patterns from scratch and thought that I might offer them first here at LW before putting them up on Ebay. They are all used patterns in different condition and i will try to give as good review of tit as possible. I'm not looking to get a profit, just to recoupe some. All of the patterns will be sent out as Priotity mail (mostly flat rate), $5 within US 48, I will combine shipping to save and i can use PayPal (or Money orsers within US). Some patterns will have pencil markings Here's the patterns I have, shipping is not included in these prices. 1. 3. Hi David, I sooo apriciate your comment:-) I have thought about this and what you say make sense with the blackpowder verus the viking stuff but...Here comes a small (official) secret... We're moving over seas this fall. I can not think of spending one more snowy Michigan winter and I do understand if this sounds weird coming from a Swede *S* It's way colder and way much more snow here in MI than I'm use to, and Tina's not to fond of that cold, fuzzy white stuff that keeps coming down from above. Where we're going you can actually play golf all year around, my husband calls it the best kept secret ever (and he's happy). In the south part it is not below frezing that often at all nowdays and very very close to the rest of the European continent:-) Now, Sweden/Scandinavia has a group of blackpowder people and I have some contact there to aproach, who knows i might be doing more holsters in the future:-) About Indy, if i can i will still go, I am at least going to try having some leather there. Have great evening//T
  4. Super Thank You, I'm so greatful for your comment:-) Absolutly...Possible pouch, that's the given name for them :-)
  5. Thanks Guys:-) I just lace the gusset across instead of along (like most purses) it does makes a nice difference in apperance I think.
  6. Sweet:-) I specially like the design touch with the celtic stamps, really nice! tashabear "and how did you get such a nice impression with the celtic stamp?" I use my husbands vice, the impression comes out perfect, hope this is an idea you can use:-)
  7. I would have oved to be there:-) I have been on Birka (todays Björkö) several times, they started out an excavation around a decade or two ago to dig out a viking village, before that there was only sheep grasing there:-) A beautiful green Island, very small but easy for the vikings to protect.
  8. Thanks for sharing this Ray, very useful :-)
  9. You mean the pattern for the construction of the bag (not the carving pattern)? I draw it up and I have a second version coming too...The rough idea to it all comes from Tandy's "New Dimension Handbag". If you have that one you can construct countless other designs with the same basic idea.
  10. here's some Ebay auction numbers I just found... 370152303358 360126942519 200303110522
  11. I use Ebay to get the model templates so to speak...The carving pattern to me is more or less useless. There is a few of them up there in the "leathercraft" section. Now, be prepared to pay anything from $15 to $75 for them depending on their uniqueness, the most I paid for one set is close to $50, I and some more people really wanted that one. This is great for toote bags (hope I spelled that one right) but for "real purses" you need the real patterns for them, it's more tricky than one might exspect.
  12. The best place to get (purse) patterns is Ebay.
  13. Thanks Crystal, I have used the tri-weave before as border and I think it works welll to some designs. Thank You:-)
  14. Thanks a load:-) I knew the word vegvisir was scandinavian, I just tried to make sense of it all together...And when I finally tucked in last night I think I got it, veg =road, visir=visare=pointer...So now with your links help it all makes much more sense:-)
  15. great Thank You, now stuff makes much more sense:-) vegvisir....veg= road, street in norweigan/danish I think (väg in swedish), visir is the same is english/swedish all in all it means compass, or function of one in my humble way trying to make sense *LOL*
  16. OK fellows.... I feel like going back to shool...You both have used words I can not find even in my online translator (Rendition, skoal), I can guess but that's not good enough, have you both used scandinavian words by any chanse (skoal, vegvisir)?
  17. Thanks Kiwi, So glad you like'm...Hopefully I can keep the ideas coming up:-)
  18. I like the design, it has a very nice flow to it:-)
  19. *LOL* Now i just need a belt:-)Thanks sys, so glad you like'm...DL??? (I need a dictionary in Americana I think) and still no cigs...I'm stubborn enough to keep it up (for now *S*) LOL...I know what you mean, I pook in my hairy pile too from time to time trying to come up with something good:-) Your well on your way, all it takes is time and patience:-)
  20. Thanks Roo:-) It makes me think of the north, snow and such...How are you cooping in the heat, it's even on the TV here, mixed with the American ice storms...Talk about extremes at both directions.
  21. Thanks man...yeah, I have found out that the tri-weave works really good as a border tool too:-)
  22. Great Thanks and Love the name you gave them:-) The gusset is really just a long strip with holes, I have folded it at each end to get some "body" to them, thats all.
