  1. Somehow I quoted you instead of yeti. How do you like it for leather?
  2. How do you like yours for leather.
  3. I may go take a look. If the feed dogs have been smoothed out maybe it would be a cheap temporary way into the heavier sewers.
  4. Yes, I take your meaning..... It looks like a work horse with some really large thread.
  5. Owner claims that it sews leather great but needs minor adjustment. $600.00 Does this model have available parts and feet?
  6. This is on Craigslist list locally. Thanks. Here's one more pic.
  7. The hole is 3/8”. The .5 ton and 1 ton palmgren press on Amazon has a hole already drilled. You just have to drill and tap for a set screw. Good luck

    quick project

    It's very green!
  9. Actually, only once. And you are correct. I have only sharpened my awl once. Until last week I also only had one awl. Now I have 3. And still no time to do anything. I get very little time with my hobby. I hope to have more time for it when my son gets a little older.
  10. Look in the for sale section here for nstarleathers leather. He is a manufacturer of finished goods and offers hides to members here. He buys actual "lots" of leather. When he can't put it to use he passes on the savings to us. Really great guy. Also letter sets are available to heat up for applying names to chrome tanned leather. Hexnhit is a supplier of these letter sets. They are custom ordered and I hope to purchase some someday myself. They are not cheap, but seem to be a wise investment.
  11. Yep, go ahead and drink that second bottle. I see people mention stabbing their fingers here, all the time. I have only poked myself once while sharpening. Ymmv.
  12. Spoken just like my Dad. You should find a few corks though. They are the perfect back stop for pushing the awl thru leather. I also store my awls in a cork.
  13. I think every holster will wear a finish. I say try and educate him and go from there.
  14. Welcome to the forum. I think we have several members in your state. Have fun.
  15. That is wonderful.
  16. Thanks for sharing the ideas.
  17. Sounds like you haven't been to a winery? I still can't drink the store bought stuff. But man, winery wine is where it's at. Great stuff.
  18. Price and style were telling me late fifties early sixties, but that was only a guess.
