  1. I have strayed away from tooling and stamping because it kills my hands. But I bet I could tough this out for a personal belt. Thanks for sharing. P.S. I love seeing people's work areas that are as messy as mine.
  2. I'm no expert but I have been playing with the different size chisels lately. The 3mm is really small like .4 mm thread. I think 3mm is 9 stitches per inch (could be wrong). The 3.38 looks good with .6mm thread. 3.85 or 4mm look good with .8mm thread. 5mm looks good with 1.0mm thread. These are all recent tests and only my opinion. That being said I have a set of 4mm co link chisels from Amazon that I have been using for over a year. For smallish to medium size goods I think it fits nicely. I toy with wallets and other small things. I can't imagine ever needing anything smaller than 3mm and I would use it for like watch bands or something.
  3. Nice, thanks.
  4. Keestar 441, Thor GA-441, Dematron GA-441 , Typical TW3-441/TW3-441S, SewPro 441-PRO, Reliable MSK-441, Nick-O Sew NKS-441, TopEagle TCB-441, FoxSew FX-441, EconoSew 441S, SEWLINE SL-441, and perhaps a dozen or more lesser known brands Off topic, but...... I know these machines aren't offered by our valued vendors here, but are these the same machines? I know they won't come all tuned up and have the dealer backing that we expect from , Ryan, Bob, or Steve. But if I found one in an old shed or on Craigslist super cheap, would they be worth having? just a thinking out loud....
  5. Cool mods. So, the solar folks are good to deal with? When I can get a machine that is who I plan to use. I'm just over in Shreveport. (Not to be confused with "I'm from Louisiana", I was born and raised in God's Great Republic)
  6. Don't you just love, Nigel? He should be a narrator.
  7. That's a gorgeous hide. If it was any cleaner it would still be crawling.
  8. I only sell holsters for blue guns and non firing replicas.... Hahahaha
  9. Love the tooling and color.
  10. Yeah, looks like.
  11. I could do that. As a matter of fact I kind of went on a picking, stitching tangent after you sent me the serabraid. I now have (cheap from Amazon) 3mm chisels 5mm chisels 3.38 pricking irons 3.85 pricking irons I have a set of 3mm chisels on on the slow boat from wuta. Then finally the other day I broke down and ordered his 3.85 pricking irons (the nice ones). So, we shall see. The tests I did showed that I may never use 3mm. That is small small. Wuta suggests .33-.55mm thread with those, I think.
  12. I was emphasising that it wouldn't be water based dye. You are correct that you can stamp predyed leather. Sorry I didn't make my statement more clear.
  13. Cool, I finally ordered the 3.85 pricking irons yesterday. So, in about 3 weeks, I will let you know how they do. (Slow boat from China)
  14. I can't answer for much on the mauls. Normally leather is stamped then dyed. If it is predyed it wouldn't be water based unless your buddy gave it to you.
  15. Well I'm sure there's more. I think you use them in a pull stroke. And that lip is for the pinky.
  16. Wuta has 3 sizes available on Amazon. 29.00 a piece I believe.
  17. I saw the other day that Black River Laser has an inexpensive gauge for the strap cutter.
  18. Price and location, please?
  19. I will take #4 please.
