  1. You will really like the DVD & Pattern from Mark - his technique can be applied to any type of Chinks or Chaps! -
  2. The Al Stohlman How to Carve Leather Book has a Ladies Hip belt pattern that starts out narrow and gradually widens at the center of the belt. It has a slight curve to it as it dips down to a point on the bottom side in the middle of the belt if that makes sense. Thanks Deb
  3. I picked up some nice oil tan leather at Springfield Leather. I also have some nice samples of leather from - Fern Thacher in St. Joseph MO. Contact info is: Stu Blattner - 800-730-8594. I ordered for the first time 2 weeks ago and the leather is very nice, reasonably priced and quick delivery. - Good Luck
  4. Hello, A few Months ago, Tandy Leather's Wholesale Club's Skiver newsletter came out with a pattern for a Bronc Halter. If you have a Tandy store close, give them a call, they might have an extra copy around. If you PM me your address, I will look at my pattern collection and see what I can come up with. Thanks Deb
  5. I will be coming, I am hitching a ride with Randy and Riley Cornelius. I look forward to it - The first time I have been there! Hope to meet some of you. - Deb
  6. I have made a several pair of chinks, The first ones my daughter & I made using Dusty Johnson's Video, and a Tandy Pattern. (I bought the Video 2nd hand and it did not have a pattern with it.) It helped me a lot then because I did not know anything about it. This worked ok in the beginning, I then purchased some of Bob Klenda's patterns, I liked them even better. Just last week I received the DVD by Cowcamp Saddlery and it is great! I really like how detailed the measuring instructions are and why each measurement is important for a more precise fit. I can now apply this method to the different maker patterns I have depending on the style my customer is wanting, and the shape of the piece of leather I have to work with. It is well worth the money!
  7. I like the antique look on your belt. You got some nice shades with your method. Thanks for sharing - Deb

Try Mid-Continent Leather in Coweta Oklahoma. They might be able to help. Here is their Website http://www.midcontinentleather.com/ and phone # 1-800-926-2061. They had it last Fall when I called around, looking for it for a customer. I don't know if they still have it, but you might check. You might try Springfield Leather also. I was down there yesterday but did not notice any, but I was not looking for that either. They did get truckload of leather in and were working on it in the back while I was there. It would be worth the call. - Good Luck - Deb 1-800-926-2061 1-800-92

    Glass slicker

I went down to the local glass replacement shop and told them what I was looking for. They had a thick piece of glass in their scrap pile. They rounded and polished all the edges and I now have a nice glass slicker. Since it was in their scrap bin, they did not even charge me for it. It does not have a wooden handle, but if you are good at woodworking I am sure you could make one for it. Good Luck - Deb
  23. Those look Great!! I like the conchos, They are different and complement the tooling well.
  24. Here is one I finished just before Christmas. It is the first one I have ever made. If it is a style you are interested in I would be happy to share the pattern. Deb
