  1. Kevin at Springfield also started carrying insides from generic to high end Chaylor-Fennell.
  2. Glue a piece of small piece of twine or ohter small rope the same side to a board and use the hand paper to sharpen. Then place some rouge on it and then strop.
  3. that is beautiful Mr. Bruce! Be proud. side note: I received the pieces of leather today. I have something coming in return. Many thanks.
  4. Springfield leather...hit them up.
  5. Send me a PM with your email and I can send you one from the LCSJ magazine.
  6. Hmmm....Interesting.
  7. I have a bunch that I am going to be listing for sale here. I will take a look at them and see if any match your list.
  8. Rickyfro was right....I will accept any ceramic blades that nobody wants... Now, my what would be tandy's filigree blade (angle) ceramic blade can be thinned down. You would have to get pretty aggressive with it at the beginning. I had taken a Stohlman steel blade that I bought off eBay that was jacked up and thinned it out. Now I use that one for tap offs since I like a thin marking line. Good luck.
  9. Well Phil to this wonderful place! Enjoy
  10. Dude, that is absolutely beautiful.
  11. Interestingly enough.....the tips can be removed and you may want to try them out on a swivel knife. It is worth a try.
  12. If you want, I pay the postage and you can just ship that ceramic blade over to me. I have re-beveled the angle on my two ceramic blades and taken them up to 4000 grit. I strop them usually one or twice and they go all night long. Now, I will say for some reason, I switch between my steel blades and my ceramics? I guess, like a good father, I want to give all of my swivel knifes enough visitation. Just kidding....it just depends for me on the feel when cutting. Let me know.

  14. Welcome to the forum.
  15. You are asking for help at the right time. I am just getting ready to post some tools and other items for sale. These are tools that I have compiled during my last two point 5 years of learning this subject. Most of my tools are going to be Crafttool USA (meaning old) some are pre-letter and some are not. I do have some crafttool (leather factory) tools, Barry King, and some hackbarth. I will also be selling some of my library books that I have collected, some old and some new. I have pretty much everything you need to start the hobby for several individuals. I really like to start my sale offers here on LW since I have learned a lot and you will know that you will not get ripped and I will not lose my investment. I use eBay as a last resort because I think the members here will value what they get more than most on eBay. Anyways, I have leather print samples on all of my tools, just need to take the time to photograph them. Good luck

If you do a chuck smith search, you should find it under resources. I posted the sales flyers that Lana sent me.
  18. I have just about every swivel knife on the market and my two favorite is Leather wranglers SK3 (Al Gould model) and my ol'smoothie 3/8" barrel with the cobalt blade. Spend the money, you won't be disappointed. I have both Stohlman knifes and the only thing that I do not like is that there is almost no grip to them because they are cast. I also have the Hide Crafter's stand knifes and they are really good for the money. Good luck
  19. L/O/L You're in Boerne huh? If you don't mind visitors; can I come out to check out the operation and trade secrets? Okay, maybe take some tips from you since I don't really have any. Happy New Year!
  20. Welcome to the forum. Happy New Year!
  21. Well, let's try it your way. Send me 20 and I will try to glue them down before I try to stamp them. I don't know how they will turn out. I was a workout for the first one. I will PM you my address. Appreciate it.
  22. I appreciate the offer, but I have a logo stamped piece of heavy leather already done. Could I sent it you to you and have you cut them off into circles? I will send some change along for your troubles? Thanks for the idea, didn't think about this option. I appreciate the offer!
  23. Interested. PM Sent.
