    Hay Jeff, I have been to your site several times. The tutorial for holster pattern making is a huge help. I haven't built one I think is good enough to take a pic of but I'm gaining. THANK YOU !!!

    Interesting, I've never heard of egg tanning, I'll have to give it a try. I've heard that woodchuck rawhide makes good banjo heads!

    The "rounding" of the antlers, neck and front legs looks good, and the matting helps a lot. I think if you just keep practicing you'll have it in no time! The muscle highlights I think just need to be shallower and not have the sharp line on one side. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

    Just curious because the place I use to work, we used a penetrant that glowed like that under uv but if you haven't been around any metal testing labs that won't be it. I hope you get to the bottom of it soon.

    I think what you are looking for are called footman loops http://www.brettunsvillage.com/trunks/howto/parts/endcaps/ . Round ones are at bottom of page. All so ebay has a bunch.

    George, I feel for ya bro ,I'm an L1 burst a year and a half out,and have been trying to figure a way to carry my "babies " in a chair for about a year. I don't carry anything that big but I agree that appendix and cross draw don't work so well. I cant reach my ankles with all that wonderful titanium in there so I guess on the shoulder is all that's left. Gona suck in the summer tho.

    I would guess its the carnauba, we used to use it as a wood finish and once applied, with the heat from buffing it in got quite hard ( they use it under the oil on bowling allies ).
