  1. @RockyAussie not sure what piece you're talking about that's at the uppermost point. thread does go slack just as needle penetrates leather. Since most of the knots were on bottom I adjust the discs. Going tighter up top till knots starting showing more on top then slacking off till the disappeared in the leather. They may not be right and the tension might be off but it's better now. Mostly does it in a curve now or a sharp corner. @Bugstruck I've seen a video on that or read it somewhere. Never give it a try but I guess it wouldn't hurt. Will double check to make sure disc are closing fully when foot is down.
  2. @Wizcrafts there is a little "pop" when stitching. Always thought it was the thread popping as it came over the bobbin. The leather is WC 7/8oz glued and doubled. I believe I may have most of the knots worked out. Doesn't do it every other stitch now but sometimes. I adjusted the tensioners a little. Is there anyway to "reset" the tensioners?
  3. Needle is in right. @Evo160K groove on left and flat spot on right @JLSleather sposed to be a wrap anna half. And it is. Or am is it sposed to wrap around that post that it's going over too? Btw this is cowboy brand 277 on top and bottom. Thinking I may go to a smaller thread on bottom.
  4. I've tried it now with 3 different bobbins. I've watched the thread uncoil while I was stitching. It's coming off fairly easy. And not hanging up anywhere. It's crazy cause it started it outta the blue.
  5. Thought I put it in the tags. It's a cowboy 3200
  6. I cannot figure out what is wrong with this machine. It's sewn one holster and I've played around on scraps a bit. The (locking knot?) keeps showing every other stitch. Sometimes on bottom sometimes on top. I've taken the bobbin out and respooled it. Making sure it's laying flat and the thread doesn't stick out the side hole. Installed it making sure it's turning counter clockwise. Cut the thread off at the spool and re threaded making sure I went through each keeper or hole etc. I have not adjusted any tensioners on the machine. Honestly I'm scared to for fear of not getting it back where it's supposed to be. I know it's nothing major but I can't justify spending that much money on a machine just sew test runs. Any help would be appreciated! As you can see in the pics it's not all the time. And on this piece of scrap it's mostly on the bottom With only only one row being on top.

  8. Still very new to leather (little more than a year) and extremely new new to sewing machines (maybe a month). I have a few questions. How often to oil? How many drops? Silicone spray on thread spools? Silcone spray on needles? Any input will be appreciated.
  9. You might not wanna see those at the moment... still just tinkering with it on scraps. But rest assured it will be used. Hand stitching is for the birds!
  10. Well @JLSleather, you helped make my mind up in the beginning of what to get and did refer me to him. So... reckon I'll throw some credit to you too!
  11. Pretty sure this has been said somewhere and if it's not allowed then a mod can delete it. Just recieved my new machine Friday. So far it's doing everything it should. I'm completely new to the sewing machine world but Bob at http://www.tolindsewmach.com/ helped me tremendously. I'm not endorsed by anyone here nor do I wanna be. Just appreciate old fashioned customer service. My only problem with the machine is the light that came with it doesn't work. I let Bob know and he said he would have one on the way. It's surprising this day and time that you can find customer service like this. Thanks Bob!
  12. Would anyone have a pattern for a mark ii competition bull barrel? 5.5 inch barrel but any barrel length would work. I can modify that. Thanks in advance
  13. Got asked to make a holster for this gun earlier this week. Anyone have the pattern yet?
  14. Well now... I have opinions, you have opinions, we all have opinions. I will NOT hold my tongue when something is 100% wrong regardless if it gets me banned from here or not. Still fairly new here so it's no big deal. If I know there's a feller in the same restroom with the REAL girls of my family I'm going in after them bottom line! I will agree it is all political. Political correctness has ruined this country. Everyone scared they will hurt someone's feelings. Well that BS don't cut it with me. And since God was brought into this, did He make a mistake by letting a female be born with male parts? I THINK NOT!
  15. it's just fertilize. A little ammonia never hurt a tree
  16. Do most everyday! Joys of living in the backwoods of rural America!!
  17. Agree with all this! There's two genders in this world. Make and female with the rare exception of hermephadite. However you spell it. All this trouble started when a lot of these crazy asylums started closing down. Idc if it's s male police officer going in ladies restroom where my sister mother or wife is,and he better be ready to draw his pistola. I respect officers with the utmost respect so don't mistake that, jus sayin i dun care who it is going in there as long as they're all female. Even Bruce Jenner couldn't outrun me if he went in.

Last time I ordered from him he does not. He does accept PayPal. He's a real likable fellow. Guess I got the bad end of the deal twice. Both double shoulders. One had scratches all in it and the other had so many wrinkles I could only use about a third of it.
  19. Did you cut the belt in half? I've seen advertised with steel between the two layers in the belt. Still new at this but as much as I can tell makers do double up leather to make belts. Never heard of slide belts before so just did a quick look. My opinion is, and I may be the only one that thinks this, the plastic teeth wouldn't hold up over time. I could be wrong but I don't want anything plastic trying to hold my britches.
  20. Did the same thing here. A monument and countertop company rents a building from the family so I went in and asked did they have anything. Literally piles of cutouts for sinks in different dimensions. Almost any color. I picked a few pieces. They're just over a 1 1/8" thick. The biggest piece was 2' x 3'. Smaller two are average sink size.
  21. Welcome to forum. I've learned a good bit from good folks here. For the most part everyone seems eager to help if you have a question.
