It seems I couldn't get an answer to this yet; is this thread okay to use on tippmann or not? https://www.ebay.com/itm/50M-150D-1mm-Waxed-Thread-Wax-String-fr-Leather-DIY-Sewing-Stitching-Craft-HighQ/333117384608?hash=item4d8f57e7a0:m:m1faykOtJqglgeM2bnzRMdg

belt slot tool size
Mocivnik replied to Joshstrange's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
If I'd punch 40mm oblong hole for 40mm belt, that would be waaaaaaaaaaay too much for me. I use 25mm (or 1") oblong punch and i'ts just enough for me. -
lowering price to 50 USD, shipping worldwide included.

Dwight highly dissagrees on that
-
yeah, but I cannot find which one he meant. None of them above doesn't have thread size written. https://www.tandyleather.com/en/category/threads

Looks decent, will buy that one from Tandy. I hope the one from the link is OK.
-
Do you have any pictures of your work perhaps? From close look?
-
And what needles to use with tippmann? Any special required? For 346 thread?
-
yeah, but this one is unwaxed
-
Great! Thanks, that helps a lot. Is this the thread you're talking about? #346-Heavy ? Will take all 3 colors, hope it will work fine. https://www.tandyleather.com/en/product/polyester-machine-thread What about that thread I've mentioned before? I have several spools of that, is it still useful on Tippmann or should I use it just for hand sewing? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1pc-Sewing-Waxed-Thread-150D-1mm-Nylon-Hand-Stitching-Cord-for-Leather-Craft-DIY/173821144361?epid=17029957303&hash=item28788c2d29:g:hD0AAOSwyUpcfNuE

But isn't it forbidden to use waxed thread on tippmann? Doesn't it glue up parts and you have several hours of work to clean it up? I prefer waxed thread anyway. I always use this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1pc-Sewing-Waxed-Thread-150D-1mm-Nylon-Hand-Stitching-Cord-for-Leather-Craft-DIY/173821144361?epid=17029957303&hash=item28788c2d29:g:hD0AAOSwyUpcfNuE Is this one proper to use on tippmann?

I've been using ever since 150D waxed thread that I got from ebay, but as I've bought the tippmann now, I probably have to use unwaxed thread. Which brand should I use, what size? I'll be making mostly belts, holsters and knife sheaths.
-
Anyone got mentioned before blueguns or aluminum ones to sell? Can be used, I don't mind.
-
If you have a handpress/arbor press, it's supereasy to make one or more of these. You buy brass rod and can bend them easily and numerous times.

This is holster I've made slightly less than a year ago, but it's never been used - the customer never came to pick it up. I'll give it away for 65 USD, shipping worldwide included in that price. Handstitched with Ritza 25 thread, made from 8oz. or 3.2mm veg tan leather, laser engraved longhorn skull. Finished with neatsfoot oil, will not soak any humidity.

What's so wrong with them? PS: What's Tandy's shipping time to arrive within US? (Miami, Florida) PS2: I instead put this lace into cart - this is genuine leather, as previous from the link was faux. Took black and brown, can't wait to start working with them (I hope I choose the right leather lace for lacing tho ) https://www.tandyleather.com/en/product/craftsman-lace-1-8-x-25-yd-3-mm-x-22-9-m-black
-
I took 1 spool of this Craftsman Lace 1/8" x 25 yd. (3 mm x 22.9 m) while I took 3 types of needles: 1193-01 - Perma Lok Needle Lok-Eye Needle (Hook-n-Eye) 10/pk 2-Prong Lacing Needle 10/pk I hope this will be OK.
