  1. Thank you, Gary. Honestly, before I became interested in working with the leather year ago, I had absolutely nothing to do with art. From the word - in general My main specialty is the programmer of embedded systems. This is far enough from drawing and art (if, of course, do not consider programming as an art). It seems to me that in any of us sleeps artist . You just need to wake him up
  2. Mens bifold wallet with coin pocket. Veg tan leather 4 oz for cover, 2-3 oz for pocket.
  3. I happened to work with many vector editors, but CorelDraw became my choice. The fact that in CorelSuite there is also PhotoPaint for working with raster graphics is also a huge plus. I use both from time to time in my main job. Therefore, when a year ago I suddenly decided to do leather work, the question of choice was simply not standing by me
  4. I'm using CorelDraw. Maybe because I've been using it for more than 10 years and not only to work with the leather, it seems to me that this is the best option.
  5. Your carving and stamping looks great! The same can be said about bag and wallet in general.
  6. In your case, I have to thank you, Mike. This you provided useful information, presenting it very professionally. Someday I'll surely purchase some of your video courses. I just need to get better after buying tools
  7. Nice review. Like all the other videos from you.
  8. Now the sea and waves turned out very believable. Great work!
  9. @Rockoboy, thank you for compliment. And special thanks for remark/advice about mountains. I began to train in the embossing of mountains, and your advice is valuable to me.
  10. Your praise is worth a lot. Thank you! Andrey.
  11. Looks just superb. Very nice work!
  12. The inscription on the picture "There is always someone who will make cheaper" Moral: Good work can not be cheap. @Alexis1234 I'm not a great connoisseur of horses and horse harness, but it seems to me that your work is quality and good .
  13. I'm glad that it turned out to be useful for you. Thank you for your interest in my work!
  14. After dyeing' A little painting And apply finish Finished! Now my first puma has a boyfrend
  15. Thank you! I'm glad to see you in this thread.
  16. Carving and embossing complete. Now my mountain lion dries up before further painting. The mountains and the clouds turned out badly. But I already bought a "Pictorial Carving Finesse" by Al Stohlman today and I hope to master it
  17. John, thank you for compliment! I hope that the continuation will not disappoint you
  18. Mountain lion, version 2. Based on previous errors. I decided to describe the process - maybe someone will be useful. First I do the preparation of the leather insert. 4 layers of veg tan leather 7 oz = 11 mm. I form the insert with a scalpel and knives for wood carving. After that I process it with the finish (I'm use Appretto Mild). Next I Transfer the drawing to the leather. Stretch the leather on the insert. Using bevelers, I create a bas-relief. Now I'm making wool. To be continued...
  19. Many thanks for the clarification. It's never too late to learn
  20. The work is done. Mom liked this I hope her colleague will like the gift.
  21. Thank you! I'm so sorry, but who is Asland? Make a discount on the fact that I'm from Ukraine and do not know much that is familiar to an American or Canadian.
