I am going to give up a little secret if you want to use lead and you are going to buy it find a plumbing supply store near you. Not a hardware store diddy bop into the store and ask for lead wool, now you can shape it any way you wish without using heat if they do not have in-stock tell them to order it from the warehouse -
I use the plastic ones for now tandy and the stecksstore have them for around $2.20

Find some old car speakers and salvage the magnet, I use vinyl as my pattern material and magnets. Works great or buy a jar of BBs pour into a sock then cover with leather -

The mysterious goo came in the mail today I tested it on my arm, Nice , smooth then grabbed a veg tan knife sheath, rubbed some goo on half of it then buffed it did the same with some chrome tan

The holster is 12” long x 6 1/2” wide measured top to tip of the triangle and 6 1/2” at the top I cut the triangle, used the top part of a 45 long colt pattern and sewed that to the triangle

Pictured us a Scholenger 45 Sa with an 8” barrel yes it is for a big guy, all my stuff is made for big guys (I’m a big guy) and straps have to be cut down for them wee fellers

Working on a shoulder holster cross draw holster for a long colt 45, this is intended to hang low. Muzzle just above belt height canted on about a 45degree with the grip being center of the body below the sternum
