  1. Just finished up this pair of holsters for a Schofield.
  2. Good looking knife and sheath for sure.
  3. Good looking sheaths. I say make some different styles. Try looking at some older patterns and maybe do some period style sheaths from whatever period you choose. Plenty to change up while still keeping with the roots of what you are doing.
  4. Not a bad idea. I have not use scrap for bookmarks but looking at your pics, it appears that it works just fine.
  5. No problem. Depending on holster style I have a few ways that I use but this one gets used the most for this type of holster.
  6. Very nicely done as always. I have been thinking about doing a hair on holster for a while now but haven't done so. I am sure your video will be a help. Thanks. I have been a subscriber to your channel for a while now.
  7. Thanks for the comments. Here are some more photos.
  8. Very nicely done.
  9. Thank you and yes I am in South Louisiana. Orginally from Alabama but have lived here a long time. I am all the way in south east Louisiana though. About four hourse from Lake Charles.
  10. Excellently done sir. Your skill is admired.
  11. Just finished up these holsters for a pair of 5.5" cowboy guns. They are black with a concho with turquois on them. Border stamped and fully lined. The will fit most of the 5.5" cowboy guns such as Vaquero, Open Tops, 51 Conversions and Remington 58s. Thanks for looking.
  12. The finish or color is just Med Brown Fiebings Gel Antique. Then top coat.
  13. Good job. The Hand Of God rig was the first full rig that I ever did. For a pair of Schofields. Like you, I made subtle changes also.
  14. I like that you are always trying something new and different. Props to you Sir.
  15. As for the dying and finishing....... I went a different route on this one. NO dye. I used an old bottle of Fiebings Antiquing Gel in Med. Brown. Lots of hand rubbing applied with dabbing it on an old piece of T-shirt. Then finished it with Mink Oil and lots more rubbing.
  16. Thank you Fredk. I have not carved much and you are very correct. There are many aspects of the stamping process that I have not gotten good at yet. Now that I finally found a swivel knive that I like and feel I can use I hope to start doing more carvings and hopefully get better and better at the artistic part of the stamping.
  17. Nice job.
  18. Thank you. I am going to do a belt. I am trying to decide on the style of belt though.
  19. I do not do many carved holsters. I want to get better at them and finally found a swivel knife that I am comfortable using. Now I feel like my swivel knife work is finally okay so I can practice my stamping work for floral designs.
