  4. Those are really nice Art. Great job! Shirley
  5. I learned that technique from David. I use pipe cleaners cut in quarters and just twist them. I sometimes use a spray adhesive too, to keep the tooled piece where I want it. Just a small quick spray in the center of the leather. Be careful though, coz once its in place it will rip your foam pulling it apart. ShirleyZ
  6. Wow, Tom, I thought you were looking at the carving naked for a second then! That is a beautiful bag. The paintwork is awesome! ShirleyZ

  10. Thanks Guys, This is the design they have on their T-shirts for the rallies. I can't take any credit for it. I like it though, because I think it will appeal to either sex. ShirleyZ
  11. This is just a quick black seat that I had to get out, for the "Ride for The Cure" on sunday August 10th, Mountain Ridge in Wallingford, CT. This is a great cause, being hosted by the Bikers for The Cure. Too many of us have been affected either directly or indirectly by cancer. I feel privileged to have participated. 14. I'm not sure how they are going to do it. I'm just dropping it off at the local HD, dealer and they are going to raffle it off for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, here in Vegas. Apparantly, there will be flyers in the various bike stores in town advertising it. Shirley
  15. I just think that it might make it more appealing to sell tickets. black goes with a lot more paint jobs.
  16. Finished this last night. Going to dye it tan, and offer to dye it black if the winner requests it. I quite like how it turned out. ShirleyZ

  22. I'm originally from Leeds. I remember my brothers going for rabbits. They spent more time digging their ferrets out of the burroughs than anything else. I don't think they ever brought a rabbit home either....lol ShirleyZ
  23. Hi Dave, Welcome to leatherworkers. I only have one question. Who puts collars on ferrets? My brothers had ferrets when I was a kid. We never put collars on them. That was a long time ago, not many people had ferrets then. Is this big in Britain now? ShirleyZ
  24. Okay Johanna, this seat isn't destined to be black. It's just going to be a very, very, very dark charcoal gray. Which I believe is the color after the vinegaroon hits it. Actually, I'm thinking of leaving it natural or tan, and giving the winner an option to dye it black if they want it. I think it will appeal to more people that way. You think? Shirley
  25. You are kickin' it with the coloring! I like the stitching on this one too. Shirley
