  1. Hi all, Just got done with this one. It is not my usual style and not what I would call attractive really, but it's what the customer wanted. It was a learning experience though as I've never had to make a skirt or fringe before. It was made for an Indian motorcycle, not sure of the year or model. I'll post pics of it on the bike when I get them. My buddy, Mike Tomas of KIWI Indian asked me to make it. He gave me 6 days! It was a rush order for a special customer. It's going on a bike for David Letterman. What do you think? Shirley
  2. I'll have to have Luigi straighten out Guido. God knows what other pictures he has. Nice work by the way. I love the bear paws. Shirley
  3. HEY DID YOU ASK FOR PERMISSION TO USE THAT PICTURE OF MY OLD MAN???!!!! Shirley

  7. Happy Birthday Clay. I'm sending Guido over with a cake and a surprise! Shirley
  8. Awesome work again David. I am going to ask this, because I have to. What is crocking? At first I thought it was a typo for cracking, but everyone else is saying it too. I'm not familiar with it. Shirley
  9. Thanks Steve, I think you are my first official fan. Judging by that seat you are probably going to be a strong rival too, and that's great. While I have other great leather workers to compete against I have to keep improving. That way the standard by which we are judged gets higher. That's a good thing. Just don't get too good, hear? I'll have to send the boys over! lol Shirley
  10. Really nice clean design. It looks great! Shirley
  11. Beautiful Beeza. You nailed it. The tooling is awesome. Shirley
  12. Really nice job Steve, as usual. shirleyZ
  13. Hi David, In my honest opinion, as much as I love your braiding, on this one NO! The tooling is awesome, and the braid will draw the eye away from it. I say that because your braiding is pretty damn near perfect, so it does demand attention. Let your artwork sell the seat, it's totally enough! Shirley
  14. Dave, My Man!, I Love it!!!! It's so awesome, I'm working on saddle bags for a build my old man's doing. He wants just dragons but I've been trying to convince him to let me put in a koi. I can't wait to show him your masterpiece. I love it! My husband came back from the Cincinnati show with a camera full of bike seats. They were all yours, brilliant! Shirley
  15. OOH! Now there's a thought! Shirley
  16. Hi All, Here's my version. I had forgotten how much goes into floral, it's been a long time since I did any. I need more practice , maybe I'll do another western seat. ShirleyZ
  17. Hi all, I'm here in sunny Las Vegas but hail originally from Leeds, England. Among the few things I miss of England are dry stone walls, greenery, and fish and chips wrapped in newspaper. The Nevada desert is now funnily enough 'home' to me. Both my daughters were born in the states, and so I'm not mum, I'm morm! The English side of me kind of got lost a little, until I speak to another Brit on the phone, and then the accent really comes on strong. I hope to become a citizen this year, just so I can legally vote for whoever is running against whoever my mother-in-law is voting for! I originally came here after living in the Bahamas for four years, and meeting my husband Joe there. We were working in the casino industry, my husband still is. Being involved in the openings and training of casino staff, we have lived in, Iowa, Illinois, Mississippi, Loiusiana, and Nevada. The only way I will leave Nevada is for either a home in Wyoming or S. Dakota, (fell in love while on a Sturgis run), or beachfront property anywhere warm. Started in leatherwork a little over two years ago, when my old man thought he was going to pay $2,000 for a Paul Cox seat. So thank you Paul, you got me going. ShirleyZ
  18. Clay I'll be honest, I was going to add hair. I looked all over for the box with my various cutting tools in it. Since I moved I've lost so much stuff it's not funny. So, I couldn't find my hair blade. Hence the bald cougar, mountain lion, puma, whatever it is. could I hair it sometime in the future if I find the box? If I took the finish off? Just a thought. ShirleyZ
  19. Okay guys, I'm not sure if I'm done with this or not. I think I might play with the coloring. I only did this because Clay called me "blonde". ShirleyZ
  20. Beautiful Tooling. Can't wait to see the end result. ShirleyZ
