I had picked up a 5 in 1 a long time ago without a gear cover. I tried hard to find one but couldn't. I had asked a friend of mine with a 3D printer if he could design something to work. He said he could so I passed it off to him, he used his engineering mind to make a handful of trial and error runs before printing off the perfect fit for the cutter, he even threw my logo on it and painted it to match. I couldn't be happier, and I wanted to post it on here to in the event that someone else has a Champion 5 in 1 that is lacking a gear cover, or has a cracked cover - as he saved the file and would be happy to print more. It is plastic, but it will keep dust and your fingers out just the same. He saved the file for this, if you have a Landis you would probably have to be local and be ok giving up the cutter for a little while. Local meaning WA, or at least the pacific northwest.

As is. I don't know if this runs or not. I was told it came from the shop of Art Vancore, a well known saddlemaker in California. we really need the shop space so this project needs a new home. Asking $550.00 and will crate it for that price. You arrange shipping or pickup between Hollister and Gilroy, CA. It is very heavy! Cleaning out my dad's estate and came across this stitcher. Bicycle pedal with metal seat. Unit was in a hardware store that can be traced back to 1890's. Section of building has all sorts of horse leather straps, horse collars, etc. My family would like to get $1,500 or best/better offer. Unit is in Wisconsin, USA. About 2.5 hours from Chicago. The top end of the stitcher is stamped 1931. Not shown in pics, is also an old wooden table that had parts that look like they were also used either with this machine or part of the leather repair area. I am a rookie so please bear with me. I am starting to go through my dad's old business to sell his estate. He purchased an old hardware store business 40 years ago. The hardware store itself is maybe 100 years old. In one of the storage sheds way in the back I came across what looks to be a type of sewing machine. When I asked my mom, she recalls the realtor telling her it was used on horse collars and other horse "gear". I won't be able to get better pictures until April as that is when we start cleaning out the 28x50ft shed. I had to walk on top of boxes, old machinery, etc. just to get back to this. There is other horse related gear in another storage shed so this is plausible. The unit is on a stand with the Champion shoe markings. Not shown in the picture is the unit is powered by what looks like a bicycle type peddles. My family is looking to sell this but would like to know as much history as possible before doing so. Can someone point me in the right direction? Including what to look for/identify to somehow estimate a decent selling price and to who? Let me know if you need additional pics.

Hi, I need to regrind my Champion D splitter blade, what is the correct angle please. I have read threads on this subject here but no one seems to have given a diffinitave number (30, 40?). thanks John

HI, I have read about the narrow and deep throat champion machines but not much about this style/model? Can someone tell me where I might find a manual etc. What this model is best at etc... other than boat anchor:-} Thanks, C

I need replacement needles for some leather repairers we have at our MISSION. Our Volunteers use Champion (no model visible) Needles printed on side ICH 12 C, or ICH 12 O?
