Hi everyone, Im new here and want to start learning about leather works and sewing in general, the forum seems already full of great advices and experiences but I still can’t find any info on the motor of my machine. I inherited an Adler 69-373 that came with a Quick Rotan NDK 880 M/14 motor that I’d like to know a bit more about but I can’t find any information online. It’s mounted with a Quick Stop 275.201 control box and a needle positionner. Would anyone here have the manuals or some kind of useful info about this motor and control box ? Thank you much kind regards, Jerome

Dear all, I asked this morning for a manual of the Adler 4 and 5 series to be shared with me. I have recently gotten a hold of a Adler 5-8 (for free) as I like old machines. But now am faced with trying to make sense of the individual parts and giving it a check that it actually works (according to the person giving it to me it works all right). I was offered a deal: photos for manual. Rationale: apparently there is a lack of images of these old maschineschrieb and spare parts. Ok, if that’s the case: I agreed. So here are the Fotos. any feedback would be appreciated. if you spot things on the machine that seem awkward, let me know. Any guiding is appreciated. As I wrote earlier today, the wheel turns smoothly, the needles is moving up and down and the „ship“ (the „metal surprise egg“ is turning). best MSAdler p.s.: why Do I want to check if it works? Because I won’t spent a lot of time restoring it if the eagle has no wings ...

I'need a manual for this machine. It is complete, and should sew. It remains un-identified. There is a stamping on a boss that says SWISS MADE. It has a serial number. There is an obscure stamping that reads: F-52 My big problem is thread routing. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED, THANKS!!!!

Hello everyone! I’m new to the forum. I started my leathercraft journey earlier this year. My business has been taking off and I’m now in the market for a clicker press. I’d like to find a nice used one that’s not to expensive. ~ $400 - $800 range depending on the press, including shipping costs. I’m hoping there’s someone out there that has upgraded to something larger, power, or even laser and doesn’t need their 4 ton or smaller manual clicker press anymore. It will really help my small business production wise. Looking forward to seeing what you guys have. God Bless, Anthony.

Hi all, today I picked up a fairly well used Adler 98, which I now want to fully service and restore, but I can’t seem to find any manuals online. There is a parts manual and the original sales leaflet, but I’m looking for the ‘how to’ manual. im pretty sure there is something wrong with the reverse function being out of time with something. hoping someone may have something stashed away on this or it’s derivative. i do love a zigzag machine! thanks Nick

Hello all! I found a great little Singer 31-15 on Craigslist and purchased it. It sews great! Can anyone tell me what thread sizes this machine is capable of using? Any adjustments needed to use different thread sizes? Any needle suggestions for sewing leather with this machine? Does anyone have a link to a manual for it? And, of course, any suggestions at all for the 31-15 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello- We recently purchased a used Singer 7-34 and we are having a tough time finding the type of needles to purchase for replacements. We also haven't had any luck tracking down a manual. I am looking for any help with my search for needles and a manual for a Singer 5-9, The photo does not do the scale justice, It weights at least 500lbs. It is 4 feet wide. It is much larger than the class 7 but has a similar bobbin, but i don't own a class 7 so I am not sure how close the bobbin holder is. I guess I am looking for someone who has a class 5 machine or any direction to point me. Which industrial sewing store might know about this machine? Thank you for letting me post my question here. i found this old book in the Smithsonian on-line archive but this doesn't help me enough to find an equivalent needle.

So I just picked up a nice used Nakajima 380 cylinder-bed machine and was wondering if anyone out there might have a lead on a manual for it? I know it's a long shot, but hey. Alternately, does anyone know which Juki model it would correspond most closely to, and if there might be a manual available for that? I understand they bought out Nakajima at one point, but I can't seem to find a comprehensive listing of Juki model numbers and have given up on searching images and plugging in model numbers at random. Here's the machine when I first looked at it: I redid the table and installed a servo so I could bring it home; I'll put that up in another thread shortly and link to it from here if anyone's interested.

Looking for a 4", manual (hand-cranked), strap cutter such as Mast Hardware. Condition unimportant as long as I can repair it. I'm in MA and willing to travel to pick up. Thank you!

Hi guys. If you're looking for the Cowboy User Guides and Assembly Guides, I make them freely available here: http://www.solar-leather.com/supporthelp/ There are also several videos covering random things. I try to cover as much information as I can but haven't had time to make videos for every issue. If you have video requests (be polite!) I'll see if I can get to it.

Hey everyone, I'm new when it comes to sewing machine and just got a Neel's Saddlery Model 5 that brand new but didn't come with an installation guide or user manual. I have everything (machine, table, peddles, engine, etc.) but it's not put together. Does anyone who has a model 5 be willing to scan or fax me a copy of their Operational manual / parts book or user guide / installation guide if there is one. I'm a fish out of water without that essential item. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Weston

Greetings... Recently purchased a used cobra 4P with very little use (lucky me!). It was delivered and set up by previous owner. All manuals except CD was included. Was told no directives were supplied for servo motor(tn-411). I created some issues trying to fool with the servo motor not knowing what the @$% I was doing. I wrote cobrasteve, and he emailed me that day only with instructions on how to set the RPM and reverse the motor. Very thankful for this-because it worked! That being said, I have worked with the manuals fine tuning (as much as I can) the machine. I did manage to start a project, but I am a standstill as the needle is now not going through the thicker leather (approx 3/8 inch). My intuition tells me it is my servo settings? I could be wrong.. I am using a 24 needle and 277 thread top and bottom. Both belts turn, but needle will not go through. It is like the machine has lost all of it's strength. I did write Steve again with my challenge, and like many of us, probably is taking the weekend off...understandably. Wondering if you all my have a suggestion for me as I want to work today on my project if I could. Also, in my search for servo motor settings (online and in forums), I cannot find directives anywhere for the servo motor settings for this machine. Thought if I started this thread, those who are newbies like me might be able learn without having to reach out to Steve so much. Can someone fill in the blanks for me? S1 S2 S3 S1 L1,L2,L3,L4 ----- Ramp speeds? what are these for? S2 SP SE? the second is reverse, what is the first setting? S3 Numbers for motor speed RPM Also, I would love to hear suggestions on servo motor combo settings for different leather thickness and speed. Gratitude to you all for your collective experience! ~Tara
