Hello all, I have started making small leather projects after 40 yr hiatus. I am currently making items such as designer keychains, small notebooks, book covers such as bible covers, any book cover specially made, belts etc. You get the picture. I am a 68 yr old disabled vet looking to sell these items at a modest price, just enough to cover the price of materials. Any good ideas on how I could go about this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God Bless

I have a large collection of hardware I'm selling. The amount in the photo might be less than what I actually have- I noticed more pieces after I took the photos. I am NOT selling individual pieces. Each photo has the grouping of what I'm selling. Please don't ask for a selection of each group, I won't do it. I also have a ton of real snakeskin hides I'll be posting soon for sale! Email me- fastest way for a response- Rachael@heavyleathernyc.com

I have the below 13 skins for sale. I'm selling them as a lot- not individually. They are each about 28" long, 2"-3" wide. In addition to the full skins I'll throw in the scrap pile. $85+ shipping - email me if you'd like 'em. Rachael@heavyleathernyc.com

Looking for a small roller foot for techsew 810... I see the singer type roller feet all over the place. Is there a conversion or do I just need to look harder? Any help is appreciated.

I've been looking for a quick easy leather project for a while. We were visiting my father in-law, a retired Nevada State Trooper, and he showed me a super simple holster design that I hadn't seen in years. Before we left he gave me a cardboard pattern of the holster and yesterday I made it and dyed it black. Today I went over it with saddle soap and burnished the edges with old denim. I know I need to improve some things. But over all I am very happy about how it has turned out. I think I did ok on the stamping. Not perfect by any means but not terrible either. I've even thought of making them and selling them. Of course I need to do a few, maybe quite a few, before I'm ready to sell any. Practicing proper technique is something I know I need to do. Anyway, here's a picture of it. You just fit your belt through the loops and it holds small single stack pistols or J-frame revolvers quite well. I will be using it for my M&P 9 Shield. Its a perfect fit for that size. Rides very comfortably.

I have purchased some Hermann Oak tooling leather recently from Springfield Leather Company, and I was very satisfied with it. Although, I found out that Hermann Oak (or at least the stuff that springfield supplies) is "grade c" quality. I was surprised, because the leather seemed to be higher quality (I am in no way knocking Hermann Oak or Springfield, both are great companies that I will probably continue to do business with). I have noticed that it is no easy task to find a leather supplier that supplies "grade A" leather in small quantities. I want the top grade stuff. Mainly for advertising purposes (that may sound stupid, but I have done research, and it does wonders for marketing). Does anyone know where I can purchase some Natural Grade A tooling sides/shoulders/etc.?? Thank you for your input Zayne

I was looking for a good project to use my newly acquired tools on and I thought I should solve a problem with the problem itself. So I have sewn normally for some time but use a tomato thingy for my needles normally but these big leather ones need their own holder. Inspired by another pouch I saw on a website for leather goods. Colors are pretty close in photos, natural finish. Learned a ton for my next go around, mainly in how to stitch and how to cut in a straight line.

I'm new to leatherworking and I can't seem to find the info I'm looking for clearly described. I bought a basic needle work kit off of tandy and it came with these dull and relatively large needles and thread. What I'm wondering is if there is a more thin thread and finer needles that are often used for hand stitching? Thanks
