I spent hours getting this weave the way I wanted it,   Finally satisfied I installed in in a knife sheath

no problems.

then the final step, marry the front and back

my machine broke a needle and scared the leather

Like a line from a movie , " thats not basket weave......THIS is basket weave" .

You must have had a lot of patience to do that @Frodo, I would have thrown it across my workshop , LOL ,  well done  :)

That is very cool work!!

At 79 yrs . . . I've kinda given up on basket weave and it's associated brethren . . . just cannot get the knack.

I do beat on leather occasionally . . . (some call it stamping  . . . lol ) . . . and I've never really acquired that knack either . . . but so far I haven't had any super complaints.

But then again . . . I'm kind of dressing for an audience of simple expectations.

Anyway . . . braver than I am . . . for sure . . . the originator.

Chinese shoe patcher; Singer 201K (old hand crank)
