new look

I preferred the old theme look, it was unique. Now the look is like all the other websites on www, it is cold and clinical. I preferred the adverts at the top of the page. Having them dispersed through the messages its hard to tell which adverts should remain and which are 'pop-ups' that need deleted. I'll not use an advert blocker as the website needs those adverts showing fro revenue

All this reminded me I'd not sent a donation for a while. Its done now, so fresh coffee can made on the stove

I looked for some "explanation" . . . didn't find one . . . so I did my usual . . .  I mentioned it.

How are y'all posting pictures? I've tried a few ways but no success. I'm viewing this site on a tablet. I can also view it by phone. Trying to post of picture on either. I get a message the file is too big. 

Any help?

You need to resize your file to the proper size to post. I use shrinkpictures app/website. Size your pictures to 760x800  

I use my phone cause it's all I got to use.

The hacker attempted to exploit the mailserver to send spam. Consequently, LW has made several blacklists for email, where it doesn't even go to spam, just bounces. I'm trying to clear our good name. The server is taking forever to reindex the files, so the search function isn't as reliable as usual. That should resolve itself, but I'm still waiting. When it's done indexing, I can bump up pic size permissions and the software will automatically display it at the best size for your screen. If I change the setting now, it's going to try to affect every pic we have and slow the server down further. I've got it on my list with the new skins you want. Some of this just has to wait until the background tasks finish. I really appreciate everyone's patience. The kind words from you guys makes everything worth it. Thank you.

@Johanna clearly, many here feel that the older appearance was warmer. Blue is an inherently cool color, so maybe , if you could just change the theme color to warmer ones, it might make a difference. You do not need to change the whole appearance while other, more vital things are being done, but just changing the theme color maybe?

Why bother? This is temporary until Johanna has sorted out the hacking issue, at which point I'm sure we will be offered the option of the "old" scheme. In the meantime at least we have a functioning forum, which is the main thing. So us olde fuddy-duddy's will just have to put up with it.
