Sailrite worker bee kit and Tandy big handwheel
Northmount replied to Jdicenhour's topic in Sewing Machine Accessories
Hi Jeff. You need to add shipping information. Will you ship, where to (world wide?), who pays. -
Then there is the guy that was using an electric drill with a wire brush. He had an itchy spot on his head, so gently reached up with the drill to scratch his head and bumped the trigger. There went a good chunk of his scalp!

Try 20 feet with an extension ladder sliding out from under me. Landed on my feet, crushed right ankle that the MD couldn't even bother to look at the x-ray or radiologists report. Came down between 2 rising stem gate valves on 6" lines. Right side of my shirt was ripped open, slight scratch on my chest. Could have ripped my shoulder off if I had been a few inches further forward. Very thankful that didn't happen. The ankle was bad enough, limped for 15 years. Still can't bear to lace up an ice skate to go skating 54 years later. For years, too much or too little exercise on that ankle resulted in severe pain. Had to keep moving, but not too much, We have lots of safety standards. They are there for a reason. If I had waited for my fellow worker to come back and brace the ladder before I stepped down onto the rung, this wouldn't have happened. He was called away because a couple 1000 scfm air compressors had tripped and had to be restarted immediately else the whole utility plant that supplied steam, compressed air, 54MW of electricity, utility water, boiler feed water, cooling water would have been lost and the whole process including a refinery would have shut down. We were in a isolated location 100 miles from the electrical grid. I should have just sat there and waited!

Do you lift the foot slightly so you can turn the leather without it acting like a lever and pushing your needle to one side or the other?

You need to provide a lot more information: Where are you located? This is a world wide forum. I assume you are looking for a buyer from your area. According to your IP address you are in Texas. List a reasonable amount of what you actually have. A few photos would be helpful. What is the asking price in US$? Will you ship? Who pays shipping? See the marketplace rules here https://leatherworker.net/forum/forum/70-announcements/

Have you tried a search? Here is one for a 3 ring binder, you can modify the search parameters as you wish. https://leatherworker.net/forum/search/?&q="3 ring binder"&page=1&quick=1&search_and_or=or&sortby=relevancy

That's a great buy! I'd keep them all. Need a succession plan to pas them on to another person when you are no longer able to use them so they get put into the hands of another person that will value them. None of my kids or grand kids are interested in leatherwork so I need to figure out what to do with all my stuff before too long.

Upgrade your passwords - secure your accounts
Northmount replied to Northmount's topic in Computer Help
This was done to improve security for the site and user accounts. When someone can pull your username off one of your posts, then they can run software against it to try several thousand passwords that have been collected by nefarious jerks to hack into your account. We were seeing new posts on very old threads by a user that hadn't been on the site for many years. They were posting spam links obviously with no relationship to leather nor anything useful for members. It may take you a few keystrokes more to use your email address versus your username, but it has secured your account. People that are logged to this site (with the exception of admins and moderators) can't see your email address. Thus not as easy to hack into your account. Cyber security has become extremely important. It is critical to protect your private information. This is just one step in that direction. Too much info on the web makes it easier for hackers to get into your accounts, whether it be your bank account, or other social media accounts, eventually leading to your bank, Amazon, or other accounts that have access to your banking and credit card username, passwords, PINs, etc. There are news items about compromised accounts at least once a week, and likely several every day where people have lost thousands $ when their financial information was compromised. Practice safe computing. -
I read your post earlier this morning, but had to go out to an appointment, plus other stuff, so just got back to it now. So I looked around and found what you found, and was about to post it with some screen captures. Then I see you found it too! Good hunting.

spring flowers and good food
Northmount replied to chuck123wapati's topic in All About Us and Off Topic
We have one somewhere in southern Alberta like this, except it has a large cannon ball on the end of the chain. Couldn't find the photo last time I searched for it, so maybe it's gone, got blown away! -
This post is 2 years old and the OP hasn't been on the site since September 2023. It should have been in the Marketplace forum. For sale items are closed when sold or are over 2 months old. I'm locking and archiving this post in the Old/Sold area.
