    Ok, a while back (yeesh, has it been a yearnow?), I said that I would put together a tutorial on my method on makingmugs. Finally got everything together, so here it is. I've got over 25 photos to go with the tutorial, so I'm going to be breaking itinto several sections. As I'm not good at organization, I don't have aparts/tools list, so it would probably help to go through the entire tutorialto see what I'm doing, then you can figure out what you'll need if you want totry to make a mug yourself.     I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this or if it's ok for someone new to post such a thing but I thought some may be interested. A very non-definitive guide to how I make a leather bottle. This bottle is based on the ones recovered from the wreck of the Mary Rose. Bottles like this were commonly in use in Great Britain from the 11th century to the beginning of the 17th and hopefully this will be an example of traditional wax cuir bolli (soaked in boiling beeswax to create a great strength within the leather and a waterproof and fairly easily maintainable finish.     This was a different project for me. Ive always every to make a shooting bag just for the fun of it. I finally got around to it. I got creative in trying to make it appear aged. It was kind of nice not having to worry much about being perfect on a project. The rough edges and things add to the effect.

    I have an old set of hardened leather armor. It has developed a white film on top. How do I recondition it to remove it? I am thinking it needs to be re-heated, but I do not know the temperature or for how long. Thank you for the help!

    Ammo pouch

    Well, purpose is different, but the design remains same: I'd like to make an ammo pouch for slingshot bullets but the design I'd like to keep as from American Civil War lead balls. My slingshot ammo are actually balls from bearings dimensions either 3/8" or 1/2" (10-12mm). Has anyone ever done something as such and maybe have a pattern for it? (just a thought: if this ammo pouch would have somekind of attachmend to hold slingshot aswell, it would be more than perfect)

    Functional wrist braces

    Ok not sure exactly where to post… My issue/question isn’t geared so much towards LARP as blacksmithing, but y’all might have a better answer: I’m thinking about a leather wrist brace that will help support my swing of the hammer. I know a lot of you have some really cool wrist pieces, but who has something that’s actually functional/supportive? And how should I go about fabricating it?

    Hello, I wanted to share a custom embossing plate I had made in case there were any other folks interested in it. I have been using some embossing plates made from resin with the U.S. design on them that have been nice but did not hold up to repeated use on my 8 ton clicker. I finally decided to look form someone that made one from metal or could work with me to design one. I contacted "Leather Stamp Maker" because they had made my makers mark and it has held up to thousands of whacks with a 16oz maul.     It fun. I liked playing with the bees wax. I used popcorn to stretch it out. Just kept jamming it in with a wood dowel. The basketweave held up better than I thought it would.
