  1. Been looking all over the place for 2-3 oz tooling sides, veg tan....seems nobody has them...or they charge ( hold on to your chair...!!!) about 7.50 for a sf....in Montana....haha... So, I am a bit tide....and also do not need "A" quality, tannery run would be fine.....seems like there is not much out there....in this thin 2-3 oz...?! Has anybody a good source for esonable prized 2-3 oz tooling leather in natural color...? I use this for custom bike seat's...the skirt part..... Thanks so much James
  2. there is not much difference in Nylon and Poly these days....But if used on out door scooters you need to wax, oil or Lexol the piece every now and then....all my scooter stuff I make is in Nylon...never had a problem if taken care of now anfd then!!   4. This thing is for girls....????? Ahhemmmm.....I dont know abouth that now, all I know is that I have NO clue about horse gear....and all ride is my "Fat Helga"...... That is my >> 2000 Fatboy softtail...haha... But what I do know is that this is amazing work, countless hours of braiding and leather working on this beautiful piece of horse gear you created here....very talented....still have no idea what goes where...hehe....really love these traditional ways of making practical horse "handlebars"... Well done, I pull my hat... James
  5. What.....??? No Sheridian carving, traditional braiding and NO cowboy scenes...?????????? And what about little birds and landscapes....NOT!!!!! What kind of leather work is that.....??????? Ahhhaaa, something totally different,,,,I see.....hhmmmm cool, somebody out of the box!! Love it, always like to see people getting out of the "normal" comfort zone with leather and related hobbies... So keep on doing what you do and show us some out of the box stuff!! Falcons, how cool.....when I was young and still had most of my golden locks..(hair) I went to many old German castels and ruins of such.....there always where falcon keepers and they showed of there birds of pray....fascinating to say the least! Just seen the tutorial from KK for the 5th time....haha....now I have seen that he uses a air rivet gun....me assuming it is a harbour freight air rivet gun.....Any of you guys every used one of these....I got one a few weeks ago....no info in manual HOW MUCH oil goes in resavoir....?? I did use a cup of hydr. oil and it made a big mess.....shirt, walls and seat....well u get the idea....haha... Can any of you advice me on how to operate this darn tool...&^%^&%$#(()).... Been using just a tadd of oil now...still will not grabb the rivet....HELP!!! Greetings and thanks... Jimbob

Been looking at this seat tutorial a few times and now realize you are using the same air pop rivet gun I have gotten from Harbour freight....with the small detail that mine seems NOT to work....I can not figger out how much oil I need to put in where....The manual does NOT tell u the amount of oil....have added about a cup of hydraulic oil and made the biggest mess possible...oil on shirt and walls...haha....now very little oil in resovair but still no go...it will not grabb the rivet and make a connection....any ideas what I do wrong... I love this seat tutorial....well I love all your work,,,,,hehehe,,,,you are an true artist! James

  19. NO takers....still looking for hints in human portraits....like, what special tools other then we use for florals....what is the trick to make it look realistic....can I trace a photo...??
